3) Maturity levels

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

Valuing our child means:

2) We can glimpse the potential you have in Christ, and will do everything possible to realize that potential.

III. Recognize The Value Of Your Parents

Important words keep popping up in Proverbs as a parent speaks to a child:

Wisdom– the "how-to" of life; listen, you’ll learn.

Understanding– the "why" it’s this way, perspective from God’s viewpoint. Understanding why God sees it the way He does will calm your heart when you cry out, "It’s not fair!"

My son, if you receive my words, And treasure my commands within you, So that you incline your ear to wisdom, And apply your heart to understanding; ...Then you will understand the fear of the LORD, And find the knowledge of God.

Proverbs 2:1-2, 5
