If you are embarking on a journey and you don’t have a destination someone will tell you where to go and the place he tells you to go might not be your actual destination. That is why we pray that prayer that God should arise and attack our ignorance, open our eyes and remove ignorance from our souls.
Proverbs 29:18: “ Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he that keepeth the law, happy is he” Here is a destiny fulfilling scripture. Anybody who wants to pursue his destiny and achieve it should note the message in these scriptures.
Psalm 139:13-16: “ For thou hast possessed my reins; thou has covered me in my mothers womb, l will praise thee; marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when l was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfected; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them”
Acts 2:17: “And it came to pass in the last days, saith the Lord, I will pour out of my spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophecy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams”
These scriptures have put down what is expected of us. But many fall short of this and therefore, have become destiny bats. By the Bible definition, the dreamers are supposed to be those who are from 70 upwards, and those below seventy are supposed to be seeing visions.
Not seeing a correct vision makes a person a bat. The bat is considered to be a very strange creature by many people because they do not see with their eyes but with their ears. If you cover the eyes of a bat with a plaster, and put it in a place, it can still fly and avoid all the poles and wires. But if you plaster its ears and ask to fly, it will crash on things it can easily avoid.
Bats make quite a lot of noise. They have their mouths open all the time because they use them to produce sound. And through the sound that bounces back to their ears, they are able to find where they are going. With their eyes, they cannot see that is why they lack dark places and operate mostly at night. Their mouths are open, their eyes are blind, it is only their ears that operate.
It is very sad when you are completely ignorant of your destiny. It is a tragedy. The fact that somebody is doing perfectly well does not mean that is what the Lord wants the person to be doing. Some people go into a profession because that is what their parents want them to do. Most of the time such people do not prosper because they are not in God’s position for their lives. It is important that our eyes remain wide open spiritually. Without a vision, the people perish.
A man entered a plane, before the plan took off; he bowed down to pray and lo and behold he saw blood all over the place. He did not say anything. He just took his briefcase and walked out. The hostess asked, “ Excuse me sir, where are you going? The man replied, “I am not entering this one” The plane crashed and not a single person came out alive. Without a vision, the people perish.
There are many sisters who have married into bondages and they don’t know what to do now. There are people who did not understand what they were entering into. They entered and could not come out anymore. Such people are destiny bats. When a person is a destiny bat, he is ignorant of his divine destiny. Ignorance means lack of knowledge. It means being destitute to knowledge. It means to be unlearned, unaware and uninformed.
SIX KINDS OF IGNORANCE
1. Ignorance of not knowing: This is a situation when a person just does not know. He has never known and has no opportunity to know. He does not know anything at all. There was a man who before he got delivered, at 5a.m every morning a woman who was light in complexion would come to his bed and they would begin to commit immorality. He was enjoying it until he began to learn about spirit husbands and spirit wives. He did not know that he was in trouble until he leant his lessons.
2. Ignorance of inadequate information: In this case, the person believes that he knows all when he does not. He thinks that he has all the necessary information, when as a matter of fact, he does not have enough information to reach a valid conclusion. He is still ignorant, because he does not have adequate information.
3. Ignorance of misunderstood knowledge. This is when a person has knowledge but does not know how he ought to put it into use. He uses the information wrongly.
4. Ignorance of wrong expectations
That is when you have the right information, but what you expect to come out of it is wrong. For example, before Jesus was born, the people were expecting the Messiah. They knew where He was to be born. But their idea of Messiah was wrong. They expected Jesus to come over and take over the government. But when he started saying,: my kingdom is not of this world, they said, “Which one is this one talking now? The Messiah is supposed to take over everywhere and handover the key to the kingdom of God of Israel. Even at the time He was about to go away, His disciples still did not understand who He was. They said, “How long, O lord will thou restore the kingdom to Israel.” Jesus said, “It is not for you to know the time and the season that the Father had set by His authority” Part of the reason Judas did what he did was that Jesus had power, that even if he betrayed Him, he would prove his power, and all the disciples would become governors. It was a wrong expectation.
5. Ignorance of specializalition: This is the ignorance of concentrating only on one aspect of a particular thing all ones’ life. There are some Christians now who the only thing they understand is faith. They know nothing about salvation, sanctification, baptism of the Holy Spirit, Holiness within and without, spiritual warfare, deliverance and second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. So, they are limited. Many people were before in places where the enemy was able to dig deep into their lives and now it is taking them long to pull the enemy out.
6. Ignorance of living ones life by the clock: What does it mean to live one’s life by the clock? The clock is a complex instrument. It measures the passing of time. It tells you what the time is. It tells you the present. It does not tell you how much time you have left. It does not give us time and cannot create time. It only mention the time. It is an instrument of stress. It reminds you how much time has passed, and tells you that you no longer have time. It cannot create interruption. Some ignorant people live their lives like that. They feel that life is just like that and that everybody is so simple. Such people are very naïve. They would say, “ I don’t have any enemy, I have not offended anybody.
KNOWLEDGE
We really need to pray that God should specially open our eyes and give us knowledge. The greatest enemy of ignorance is knowledge. Knowledge has different levels. There are prophets and there are prophets. There are prayers and there are prayers. There is knowledge and there is knowledge. The first level of knowledge is what we call input or consciousness. That is where some people stop. They get the information because they hear it. The information is inside. If you say, “Who is the savior?” They will say, “Jesus” How can somebody be free from bondage? They will say, “Through Deliverance” They have some information that is the input, the next level of knowledge is what Scientist call data. That is when you have put all the information together. Without input, we cannot have data. Somebody can be a data Christian. Such a person knows this verse and that verse of the scripture. In the Bible quiz such a person can pass very well. That is one level of information. You have the data but you cannot apply it.
Another level of Knowledge is information. While the data, you have what is called information. The input, data and information give you knowledge. There is still the next level, which the Bible calls “understanding” You may have information but not understand what the thing is trying to tell you. The worst tragedy of mankind is as a result of ignorance. The big truth is that intelligent men also suffer from ignorance. The Bible says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”
Many people are very smart but are not wise, because wisdom comes from above and not from education. If you do not know where God wants you to go; if you are ignorant of His divine purpose for your life, then you really have not gone to school, you have not gone to any university, you have not got any degree and you do not know anything. If you don’t know where you are going and you don’t know where you are coming from, you are a destiny bat. A person who throws away his wife or abandons her husband after taking the marriage vows is only smart but not wise. I have been in the ministry for a while now and l am yet to see one single man who drove out his wife on the claim that she was a witch and the man is prospering. In fact, in all the cases I know, things turned worst because the wife they used to replace the one they called a witch never gave them peace. We need to allow God to open our eyes. Without a vision, the people perish.
These are serious matters. It means that you might be doing the wrong thing now, God has no obligation in blessing what He did not ask you to do. Why don’t you find out from Him what He wants you to do. You may be doing what God says “Don’t do” You may be pursuing another man’s destiny. You may be pursuing a business that you are not meant to prosper in. You may be making a noise where you are supposed to be keeping quite. You may be selling vegetables when you are supposed to be a pilot. You may be a doctor when you are supposed to be a transporter. There can be no blessing for the fish outside the river. There can be no blessing for tomatoes that have decided to grow on a mango tree.
A sinner in the wrong place, a sinner in the right place and the righteous man in the wrong place are all birds of the same feathers. They will not receive blessings. The wealth of the Gentiles belongs to us, but part of what is worrying the house of God now is that many Christians are doing the wrong things. Some have gone to the university to study the wrong courses. Some are doing things out of their brain and not because of what God said. This is why God finds it so hard to prosper certain people. Where they are doing this, you run there, where they are doing that you run there, then you are a destiny bat. But when you are doing what God wants you to do and you are having problems, you should do it, it will blossom. But if He did not ask you to do it and you are doing it and praying all kinds of prayer, you will be wasting your time. This is the reason for the poverty which many people are experiencing. And this type of situation makes the enemy very happy. He knows that if you have money as a Christian, the work of God will move fast. So, he tries to keep you ignorant so that you will be poor.
Sometimes when people come for counseling and as l pray with them, I feel like crying because a person that supposed to have built ten houses is looking for prayer points for his landlord not to eject him. This is very sad and calls for action.
WHAT IS DESTINY?
Your destiny is the purpose of God for your life. You destiny is what God sent you to do here on earth. Your destiny is the reason why you were born. Doing well at a particular thing does not mean that you are in your destiny. You become an expert at something God did not ask you to do. Your destiny is the expectation of God for your life. Your destiny is what is written of you. Your destiny is what God had in mind when he created you and allowed you to come to this world. So, you can see it as a serious matter.
Unfortunately, a lot of human beings living on earth have ruined their divine destinies. A lot of people are doing what God does not want them to do. Once the devil has ensured that a man or woman is no longer in his divine destiny, he had finished that person.
There is nothing more tragic than forfeiting your divine destiny. It is a disaster to forfeit the purpose for which you were born to the world. This is why the word “Destiny” is derived from an English word that means to determine or from the word ultimately. Everybody is born to be remarkable. Therefore no one else in the world is exactly like you. Your genetic make-up belongs to you. Likewise, your destiny is so unique; God had a hand in your life before the foundation of the world. In God’s master plan, each human being is distinct from one another. The great Creator personally designed and made you that way. So, to God you are not a washout or a failure. You have value and you are not inferior to anyone. What we sometimes call inferiority is not inferiority; it is just a difference. You may be different, yes, but wonderfully different. So, remember that you were God’s idea and God never made mistakes.
Many do not understand the power and ability of destiny-destroying forces. Once they blind the eyes of a person from his divine destiny, he will become an expert at doing nothing. He will be running the race nobody asked him to run. He will be passing the exam nobody asked him to do. He will be doing all kinds of things that the Lord does not want him to do.
When you are operating according to your divine destiny, things will begin to work. And if there is problem, you can go to the Lord boldly and He will solve the problem.
There is no system that never develops a fault. When crises come, the Almighty God will come and bail you out. That is how he operates. But if you were doing something outside your divine destiny, calling Him to assists you would be a waste of time. If God is calling a person and the person does not want to listen, anything could happen to that person.
When a life is without a purpose, that life is wasted. I saw a very old professor who said that his generation was a wasted one. I asked him why,? he said that they worked hard but achieved nothing, and that majority of his colleagues were in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait working under students they trained because they were broke. So his generation was wasted. There cannot be a harvest unless you plant a seed. You cannot attain something unless there is a goal. Unless there is a contest, nobody can win. Your destiny can only be fulfilled when you are aware of it and it is still intact. But when somebody is a destiny bat it is a disaster.
Acts 8:8-23: “ But there was a certain man, called Simon, which before time in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one; To who they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying this man is the great power of God. And to him they had regard because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorcery. But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ they were baptized, he continued with Philip and wondered, beholding. the miracles and signs which were done . Now, when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them peter and John. Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost(for as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus) Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost. And when Simon saw that through laying on of apostles’ hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. But peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. Thou hast neither path nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray to God perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. For l perceive that thou art gall of bitterness and in the bond of iniquity”
Here the people of Samaria were under so much suffering but hey never realized it. Many are behaving like the Samaritans in the above scripture. They were suffering but they did not know. The Samaritans were under satanic blindness and delusion and did not know. They praised the very man who was destroying them. They did not know who Simon really was. He was sapping them dry. But they believed that he was delivering them. To destroy them totally, Satan made sure that they were blind.
They were ignorant by were hailing their enemy. They called their friends their enemies and their enemies their friends. Destruction had settled upon them and sadness and sickness were everywhere in the land. Unclean spirits had possessed many. Nevertheless, they went about normally, well dressed and as respected men and women. They were only blinded by the devil. There was sickness in the land but it never bothered them. Unclean spirits were everywhere, yet they felt strangely normal. They thought Simon was the answer to their problems whereas he was the problem. They were dying slowly, ironically, softly and happily and they were parading the man who was drowning their boat, not knowing that they were being bewitched, until the Holy Spirit located Simon. We have a lot of people looking normal in our streets but heir destinies are bewitched. So, they don’t know their left from their right. It is dangerous for you to go and marry when you do not know your divine destiny.
When a person is a destiny bat, he would be suffering from confusion. When a person is a destiny bat, he would make unexplainable mistakes. When a person is a destiny bat, he would be disobedient to God’s clear command. That was what annoyed God about Saul. The instruction to Saul was very clear, but he did something else. When somebody is a destiny bat, he would not know what happens to his money. He just knows that he gets money but does not know how he spends it. When a person is a destiny bat, he would become women magnet, or what is called ladies man. If it were a woman she would become men’s magnet. If you do not cry quickly to the Lord to break whatever is magnetizing them to you, you will be finished. If you practice polygamy, you are a destiny bat because that is not God’s original plan. When somebody is a destiny bat, he will operate under some remote controlling forces, something will be controlling him from afar. It is a terrible situation to be in.
If you want to completely locate where God wants you to be, the first place that God wants you to look at is the darkroom of your heart. The darkroom of your heart is those dark areas of your heart that are not touched or covered by the light of God. Once there is a dark room in your heart you will be blind about your destiny. Negatives are always developed in the darkrooms. Negative things manifest in the dark regions. Except the fire of the lord touches the darkroom of your life, you will remain a spiritual bat and be operating under a curse, because once you get outside God’s divine destiny for your life, you go under a divine curse and it is not a very good place to be.
Another thing you need do is to aggressively deal with destiny –killing forces. You must show these forces no mercy. You must refuse to tolerate them. You must violently determine to pursue your divine destiny. You must deal a deathblow to destiny quenchers. When you deal with these forces, heavens will applaud you. But if you cannot see where you are going, the Lord cannot depend on you. War against destiny bats is very important because you are fighting against one of the most fundamental forces that the enemy uses against man.
You must fight against them with your entire mind and the devil does not like that kind of fight because he knows that men and women who are pursuing their divine destiny are people who will disgrace him. A lot of people have been manipulated into zero position. And as a result, God is doing a replacement everyday, because He cannot have a vacuum in His programme. He cannot allow His programme to suffer. Men and women who decide to take the part of Jonah are being thrown aside. Many people have sold their destiny in places where they allowed some people to bathe them with soap and sponge at the sea sides. Some have lost their destiny through incisions or the plantain, bananas and oranges they ate in some places. These things are forces to contend with.
Many people are wasting away because they are in the wrong career or business. A lot of money had passed through the hands of many people but they could not give account of how they spent it. If you have been to occult and magical places for one reason or another, you need to pray because in those places, they steal some people’s destiny without knowledge. You must aggressively claim your divine destiny and begin to operate in it.

9. Every power caging my destiny, fall down and die in the name of Jesus.
