Put Your Trust In The Lord

But know that the LORD has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The LORD will hear when I call to Him. Be angry, and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And put your trust in the LORD. Psalm 4:3-5

For His trusting ones, the Lord God remains a refuge for the oppressed; a refuge in times of trouble. Those who know His name will put their trust in Him for He doesn’t forsake those who seek Him but rewards them according to their righteousness, according to the cleanness of their hands. Yes, He, who is a shield to all who trust in Him, measures the appropriate measure to each person. His word is unchanging:

With the merciful You will show Yourself merciful; With a blameless man You will show Yourself blameless; With the pure You will show Yourself pure; And with the devious You will show Yourself shrewd. For You will save the humble people, But will bring down haughty looks. For You will light my lamp; The LORD my God will enlighten my darkness. For by You I can run against a troop, By my God I can leap over a wall. As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. Psalm 18:25-30

Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven With the saving strength of His right hand. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the LORD our God. Psalm 20:6-7

Jesus Christ who has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows, was Himself stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted, does not despise nor abhor the affliction of the afflicted! And as the LORD He will save His anointed ones. He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. Those who trust in the Lord shall see His goodness in the land of the living in the current time of life and not just in heaven. Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. Their times are in God’s hand and He will deliver them from the hand of their enemies and from those who persecute them. Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; but he who trusts in the LORD, mercy shall surround him. The Lord performs all things for the righteous and He shall send help from heaven and save them for He is the strength of their heart and their portion forever. God’s word is unchanging:

No king is saved by the multitude of an army; A mighty man is not delivered by great strength. A horse is a vain hope for safety; Neither shall it deliver any by its great strength. Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, On those who hope in His mercy, To deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in Him, Because we have trusted in His holy name. Psalm 33:16-21

For those blessed by Him shall inherit the earth, But those cursed by Him shall be cut off. The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, And He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the LORD upholds him with His hand. I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lends; And his descendants are blessed. Psalm 37:22-26

’I said to the boastful, ’Do not deal boastfully,’ And to the wicked, ’Do not lift up the horn. Do not lift up your horn on high; Do not speak with a stiff neck.’ " For exaltation comes neither from the east Nor from the west nor from the south. But God is the Judge: He puts down one, And exalts another. For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, And the wine is red; It is fully mixed, and He pours it out; Surely its dregs shall all the wicked of the earth Drain and drink down. Psalm 75:4-8

The Heavens are full of the Majesty of the Lord. The earth is His footstool and the Firmament between is His handy work. The Presence of the Lord is in all places at all times. There is nothing that happens that is missed by Him for He sees and knows all things, even the evil cruel things men do are before His eyes. He is above all that men do and He allows it for his purposes and the achievement of His desires. He has been man free choice and that choice is to choose for or against Him. The consequences of those choices must be paid. The bill comes due and must be repaid. The jury’s verdict must come in and justice served. That is the way God has established the spiritual laws on the earth.

The enigma is that men think so nobly in one breath and proceed to take a person’s life in the next. He is both noble and cruel, both kind and vicious, both caring and brutal, both full of integrity and totally dishonest. He can never be only the best part of himself unless He relies totally on the Power and Presence of the Lord.

The Light of God must enter into the human world of darkness and shed total and dispelling light on the darkness in men’s minds and hearts. Only God’s Light can change the human heart. Only the presence of the anointing oil of the Holy Spirit can change human hearts. Hearts of stone and flesh can become hearts of Spirit and Light if they are hearts yielded and humble before their Creator. Nothing else can dispel the darkness and bring healing and change.

What is man’s greatest virtue. That he recognize he is nothing and needs everything from His Lord and Savior. The lust of his heart can be dealt with in the Power and might of the Lord. He need not suffer the repetition of temptations if he allows the Lord to deal with his basic passions because then he won’t be so easily lead by his desires. He must recognize many of his desires are not pure or the best thing for him and he should not yield to them or he will be lead away by his desires and then in his self-deceivement call it ‘God’s desire for him.’

This is the center of the matter. If we don’t recognize our need and our problem we can never see the solution. The answer lies in the supernatural and not the natural response of our earthly senses. We can never be our own solution. We can only recognize our problem and face up to the fact the solution lies in someone else named Jesus. Then, we can move on into the spiritual realm and live there rather than in our flesh or the earthly realm.

Each choice and decision in any given day becomes a choice between our spiritual understanding or earthly understanding. The direction or choices must be made by a tender spirit easily lead and directed by the Holy Spirit. Then we can be sure we are making the very best choices for our lives each and every day that we are on earth. This is only possible through a humble, yielded spirit open to receive directions from Heaven.

The truth cannot go back void. It will do what it was sent to do. It will heal or it will destroy. The choice belongs to the person who hears it. Judgemnt comes to all who do not do the will of the Father both found in His written Word and His spoken Words. He is not to be mocked what a man sows he will also reap.

Many men reap destruction and wonder why they are in trouble in life. They missed the meaning of the word ‘Love.’ Love is many things all of which they are not. They have no gentleness, kindness, compassion, integrity, wisdom, honesty, morality, and so on. They have missed the boat and therefore cannot possibly be in the boat with Jesus. This is where they need to be in order to receive healing and better attitudes to live by. The end does not justify the means if it is based on the wrong values in life. It ends in just that destruction. Hence, we see many marriages end in divorce, many lives shipwrecked, many children in despair and destructive habits. We have not been what we were called to be and our children are paying the price with us. Let us give up our ways and not grow weary in well doing.

We’re been through many hardships in life, they say people who believe, hardship has made us doubt, the very God of gods. But the apostle Paul said in his scripture, we are troubled on every side, yet not in distressed. We are perplexed but not in despair, persecuted but not forsaken. Cast down but we are never destroyed, and the conclusion of the whole matter is that. Finally the storm is over, it’s time for us to reap what we have sewn, God has given us a miracle, we finally made it through!
