MUST’s for Strong and Healthy Family:
I. MUST HAVE SPIRITUAL COMMITMENT
Through "WISDOM" a house is built (The only source of Wisdom is God and true Wisdm never separates from God)
-Wisdom like a person who build a house on a rocky mountain (Mat. 7:24). It is the FOUNDATION of a strong and healthy families.
-Unless the Lord build the house your labor is not in vain (Ps. 127:1)
-Joshua, a military man and spiritual leader to the nation of Israel showed us the commitment we should be of our family to the Lord. (Joshua 24:15)
-Joshua and his family made a commitment to serve the Lord together. This is likely what God expects from a Christian family. Families that are committed to God are more likely to stay together.
-Families that are committed to God tend to love and respect each other and are stronger families than those who do not have commitments.
-Families that are committed to God tend to produce successful godly and moral offspring.
-I read a recent survey in the family which said that 66% of American Christians became believers in Jesus Christ before they were 13 years old. Another 20% became Christians before they were 18.
-The Lord knows your child, he designed it so he can help you mold your children.

-Not only our children, even the family was designed by the Lord. So he can help our family to be strong and healthy if we commit our family to Him.
II. MUST HAVE SOUND COMMUNICATION
Through "UNDERSTANDING" it is established
Understanding - comprehension by observing, paying attention and knowing. Like foreign language which is hard to understand.
-Prov. 1:5 "A wise man is a man of understanding" So if you commit first to the Lord the next is...understanding. Without commitment be without understanding.
-Communication is to love what blood is to the body. When communication stops, love begins to die.
-According to Dr. David Mace, "Poor communication is the main problem in 86% of all troubled marriages."
-In order to have good communication families should spend quality time together. A family that spends little time to each other tends to become uninterested in each other.
-Families are in trouble because some husbands and wives are more pre-occupied with their careers than with their own family needs.
-The pastor was visiting the fourth-grade Sunday School class to talk about marriage as part of the lesson. He asked the class, "What does God say about marriage?" Immediately one boy replied, "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do."
-Marriage is the relationship between husband and wife. This is the foundation of a home, it is where families come from.
III. MUST HAVE RESPONSIBLE FAMILY MEMBERS
Through "KNOWLEDGE" shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches
Knowledge - Intelligence acquired through the senses. A general term for technical "know-how."
Practical skills that you can learn through diligent study, training and experience. Acquiring of skills to improve your financial status and material respect of your family such as technician, plumbing, carpentry, technician, mechanic, etc.
In Exudos 20:8 Gad gave us the commandment, "Six days you must labor,..." and in 1 Tim. 5:8 Paul says, "If you do not provide for your own household, you have denied your faith and you are worst than a pagan."
-1 Thes. 4:11-12 we read that Christians should calm down, settle down, and work with their hands so that they may win the respect of outsiders and have self-sufficiency. That is God’s will for Christians!
-Lazy Christians have a bad testimony
The Shortage in financial brings instability to families
a. Learn to establish your family finances
b. Support the needs of your children
c. Supply the necessities of your family
-The children must also help their parents in finding their own means
-When I was a teen, I also helped my parents in paying my school bills and needs.
-The most important of all is "ALL OF THE FAMILY MEMBERS MUST DO THEIR OWN SHARE FOR THE GOOD OF THE FAMILY."

Conclusion:
A Happy and healthy home is one of the best places on earth, while an unhappy and unhealthy home is one of the most miserable places. Families are the incubators of love. Families are the key ingredients in spiritual growth. Healthy families help make a healthy church and following God’s instructions on families glorifies God.
