CHOOSE TO BE BLESSED!

To be hallowed, consecrated, to invoke Divine care for, to speak well of; prosperity --- happiness --- joy; Protect, preserve, favor
1. YOU MAKE THE CHOICE? BLESSINGS ARE UP TO YOU.
We believe and accept that each man is a free will moral agent.
A. You must never forget you are a sum total of your daily choices.
B. Many blame God, others blame the devil, some blame other people for where they are at and what is happening in their life.
C. Where is the individual responsibility of believers? Is life just Fate and DESTINY?
D. IT IS EASIER TO ACCEPT THAT THE PRINCIPLE OF THE UNDERMINING CAUSE OF WHAT IS HAPPENING
ARE IN GENERAL HAPPENING BECAUSE WE BELIEVE THESE EVENTS ARE INEVITABLE AND THE ADVERSE
OUTCOMES CANNOT BE STOPPED, THAN TO ACCEPT I HAVE SOME CHOICES HERE?
2. HISTORY HAS ALWAYS PASSED THE BUCK OF BLESSING!
In Greek mythology there were several goddesses that ruled the course of peoples’ daily life.
There was:
FATE
DESTINY
LOT (blind chance)
PORTION (what will be will be)
DOOM
3. WILL WE CHOOSE TO STAY IN THE COVERING, ANOINTING?
A.RECALL THE SAD DAY IN EGYPT WHEN THE FIRST BORN DIED.
EVERY PERSON THAT MADE THE CHOICE TO KILL THE LAMB, APPLY THE BLOOD, AND STAY IN THE HOUSE
WAS SAFE, he that came out of the covering died.
B. I cannot change the facts and what is happening but I determine the attitude and reaction to what will occur.
I am the person that allows my emotions to run wild or to be disciplined.
4. WHAT FRUIT SHALL I EAT?
A. I am the one that makes the decision of what words I will speak.
Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
B. The ten spies that were negative, spoke a true prophecy, we can’t do it.
They died within 40 years and they didn’t do it!
The two positive spies, Joshua and Caleb, said, WE ARE WELL ABLE TO DO THIS...
And listen, my friend, they did do it!
5. SOME WILL CHOOSE LIFE? SOME WILL CHOOSE THE NEGATIVE?
SEE THE BLESSING AND NEVER TASTE IT?
A. II Kings 7 records another story... CHOICES: NEGATIVE VS POSITIVE MESSAGES...
Elisha, the man of God, declares TOMORROW THERE WILL BE PLENTY OF FOOD. ---
B. II Kings 7:2 One man says:
BEHOLD, IF THE LORD WOULD MAKE WINDOWS IN HEAVEN, MIGHT THIS THING BE?
C. Elisha speaks a truth: BEHOLD, YOU WILL SEE IT, BUT YOU SHALT NOT EAT THEREOF.
D. How sad is the MAN THAT SEES THE BLESSINGS OF GOD, BUT BY HIS CHOICE,
HE SHALL NEVER TASTE OF THE BLESSINGS.
E. II Kings 7:4 Four sick, crippled, helpless individuals make a CHOICE ---
WHY SIT HERE UNTIL WE DIE?
F. These four leprous men make the choice to head toward the enemies camp, if we die we die...
Can you hear these men as they have ate to their fill, their stomachs churning, they were belching,
and one opens up another choice:
G.II Kings 7:9 WE DO NOT WELL, THIS DAY IS A GOOD DAY, AND WE HOLD OUR PEACE...

I. THE MAN SAW THE BLESSING --- HE JUST NEVER EXPERIENCED THE BLESSINGS OF GOD...
HIS CHOICE? HIS WORDS?
J. WHAT ARE YOUR EMOTIONS, ATTITUDES, AND WORDS LAUNCHING?
6. CHOICE: "PLAN A" VS "PLAN B."
A. Deuteronomy 30:10 If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep His commandments and His statues which are written in this book of the law, and if thou TURN unto the Lord with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
14. But the Lord is VERY NIGH unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that THOU MAYEST DO IT!
15. SEE, I HAVE SET BEFORE THEE THIS DAY LIFE AND GOOD, AND DEATH AND EVIL;
19. I CALL HEAVEN AND EARTH TO RECORD THIS DAY AGAINST YOU, THAT I HAVE SET BEFORE YOU
LIFE AND DEATH, BLESSING AND CURSING: BOTH THOU AND THY SEED MAY LIVE:
20. That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey His voice...
Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord your God, He it is that doth go WITH THEE; HE WILL NOT FAIL THEE, NOR FORSAKE THEE.
B. MY SON TRUST ME!
Once at Middlesboro, Kentucky, there was some toys on the roof of the church.
My son was small at the time, I lifted him and placed him on the roof and he ran and got the frisbee and a ball and threw them down.
He then came to the edge and in fear would not come to me.
I said: "Son, I am your Daddy, I would never let anything hurt you. TRUST ME! JUMP!
JUMP, MY SON, I WILL CATCH YOU!
He jumped down to my awaiting arms, he hugged me and ran off and played.
GOD SAYS: ARE YOU TRUSTING ME TO BLESS YOU? JUMP?
We ask for a second opinion.
7. LET’S TALK ABOUT THE CHOICE OF BEING BLESSED!
Psalms 1:1 BLESSED is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of
sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in His law doth he mediate day and night.
3. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his forth in his season;
his leaf also shall not whither; and whatsoever HE DOETH SHALL PROSPER.
4. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of
the righteous.
6. For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
A. A VERY IMPORTANT CHOICE YOU WILL MAKE TODAY IS VERY SIMPLE:
WHO IS MY SOURCE?
We say Americans are not very trusting! This is a big lie.
We trust elevators, we trust Goodyear and Die Hards, we trust banks, we trust the schools with our kids,
we trust that green light to be red on the other side, we trust McDonald’s hamburgers are not dried worms,
we trust everything but GOD.
B. Definitions:
CHOOSE: to select freely after consideration, option, care of selecting,

WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR COUNCIL? Forget the man of God? Many do want to hear what God wants.
Are we putting bandaids on cancers?
Counsel: advice given as a result of consultation, policy or plan of action or behavior, deliberation,
establish purpose, guarded thoughts, a person to plead your case --- lawyer,
to avoid rash or stupid decisions.
Ungodly: deny or disobeying God, contrary to moral law, sinful, wicked, outrageous.
Sinner: one that willfully sins, reprobate, scamp, one given to themself, one that offends, serious shortcoming, transgression of the law.
Delight: high degree of gratification, extreme satisfaction, something that gives great pleasure. to find enjoyment in...
Meditate: reflection, to focus your thoughts, ponder, to plan and project in your mind, find a remedy.
C. WHERE DO YOU GO FOR COUNSELLING?
II Chronicles 20:20 Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
D. A SAD DAY WHEN THE ENEMY STEALS GOD’S WORD! HIS WORD DOES HIS WORK!
A COW AND A SHEEP HAS TWO STOMACHS!
One stomach it pulls in the grass and holds until later in the night, then when the cow is resting,
it pulls up the raw grass and chews it again, this time the food is digestable.
We need to daily meditate on God’s word over and over.
MAKE NOTES OR THE ENEMY STEALS WHAT THE PREACHER SERVED YOU.
Take the notes and study and ponder and dig deeper. To hear the word once and not ponder it,
is allowing the enemy to steal from you what might have been.
8. TALK ABOUT CONTINUAL BLESSINGS? A SEVEN FOLD BLESSING PRAYER.
II Chroniciles 26:5 And he (Uzziah) sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions
of God, AND AS LONG AS HE SOUGHT THE LORD, GOD MADE HIM TO PROSPER.
Let us claim God’s seven fold blessing right now.
1. GOD BY YOUR GRACE AND POWER KEEP US FROM SIN AND PRESUMPTOUS ACTIONS.
2. GOD KEEP US FROM ALL SICKNESS, TIREDNESS, WEAKNESSES, DISEASES, ILL HEALTH,
LACKING SOUNDNESS, --- EMOTIONALLY, PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY, SPIRITUALLY.
3. GOD KEEP US FROM ALL MOOD ALTERING SYSTEMS OF THE WORLD. KEEP US FROM DRUG ABUSE,
ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, NICOTINE, AND ANY OTHER HARMFUL SUBSTANCE TO OUR TEMPLE.
4. GOD KEEP US FROM PERVERSION, SEXUAL, IMMORAL, PORNOGRAPHY BY BOOKS, MAGAZINES,
OR THE COMPUTER.
kEEP US FROM ANY BEHAVIOR OR HABIT THAT TURNS US AWAY FROM THE GOOD AND THE TRUTH.
5. GOD KEEP US FROM ACCIDENTS AND INJURY, UNFORESEEN, UNPLANNED EVENTS THAT WOULD BRING
HARM OR HURT TO US. FATHER KEEP US FROM LACK BIRTH BY CARELESSNESS, THOUGHTLESSNESS,
OR BY THE LETTING DOWN OF THE GUARD.
6. GOD LET NO PERSON HERE AND KEEP FROM OUR FAMILIES DIVORCE AND SEPERATION OF EMOTIONS.
7. GOD WE COME AGAINST ANY PLAGUE, PESTILENCE, CALAMITY, EPIDEMIC DEASEASES, CONTAGEGIOUS
OUTBREAKS, AFFLICTIONS, INFESTATIONS, BURDENS, FAMINES, SHOTAGES THAT WOULD COME AGAINST US.
9. LET US SPEAK THIS OLD BLESSING OVER THOSE THAT BELIEVE.
GOD GAVE THIS TO MOSES, MOSES GAVE IT TO AARON, AND I GIVE IT TO YOU:
Numbers 6:22 And the lord spake unto Moses, saying:
23. Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children, saying unto them:
24. THE LORD BLESS THEE, AND KEEP THEE.
25. THE LORD MAKE HIS FACE SHINE UPON YOU, AND BE GRACIOUS UNTO YOU.
26. THE LORD LIFT UP HIS COUNTANCE UPON YOU, AND GIVE YOU HIS PEACE.
AND I WILL BLESS THEM.
