WHAT IF YOU LOOKED UP AND
SAW JESUS COMING BACK??
1st Thess 4:13-18
1st John 2:28
One beautiful Sunday Morning, as
people were filling up the church to its
fullest capacity.
they entered into the church, and they were
each given a bulletin filled with today’s
announcements, the topic of today’s sermon
The songs they were gonna sing, and who
to pray for and so forth.
At the end of the line was an older man
his clothes were dirty and torn and you
could tell that he hadn’t taken a bath for
a while.
His hair was long and so were his whiskers
When he made it to the usher, he took off
his old ball cap out of respect.
He didn’t have on any shoes just dirty
black socks.
The usher took his nose and stared at
the old guy and he said, Sir I’m sorry
but I’m afraid that we can’t let you in here
today, You’ll distract the congregation
and we don’t allow anyone to disrupt our
service, I’m afraid you’ll have to leave.
The old man looked down at himself and
puzzled he put back on his dirty ole ball cap
and turned to leave.
He was so sad cause he loved to hear the choir
sing God’s praises.
And he just loved to watch the little children
get up in front of the church and sing
their little songs.
He carried in his pocket a small worn out Bible
and was always in hopes that the pastor would
speak on something he had already underlined.
He had respect though and didn’t want to cause
any commotion.
So he hung his head down and walked back
down the steps of the big church.
He sat down on the steps near the edge of
the church yard, and strained to try to hear
through the closed windows and doors, the
singing that was going on inside the church.
Oh how He wished he could be there inside
with the others.
A few minutes passed by and a younger man
came up and sat down beside him.
He asked the old man what he was doing,
And the old guy said I was gonna go to
church today but they thought I was filthy
and my clothes are old and worn and they
were afraid I would disrupt their service.
The old guy said I’m sorry my name is George.
The two guys shook hands and George couldn’t
help but notice that the younger man had long
hair like his.
He wore a piece of cloth that was draped over
his body tied with a royal purple sash.
He had sandals on his feet and they were
covered with dust and dirt.
The stranger said Hey my friend don’t feel bad
because they wouldn’t let you in.
My name is Jesus and I’ve been trying to get
in for years, and they won’t let me in either.
Way to often we have allowed our churches
to become just another elite club in our town’s!
and it has all the rights of a church but We
have completely lost sight of the purpose
for its existence!!!
People it is possible for us to get to busy
with Churchy stuff that we forget our
main focus.
Which is to exalt the precious name of
our Savior Jesus Christ!!!!
WHAT IF YOU LOOKED UP AND
SAW JESUS COMING BACK TODAY???
People Jesus is coming back again
And We will all bow and confess that
He is Lord.
There are millions that accept this truth
because, they have the faith to believe it!!
But there’s few that will allow the Lord to
Change their lives!
How many people do you know that
accept the Lord and then turn around and
begin to serve the devil again???
Could this be the strangest fact in history??
How would you adjust your life if you knew
That Jesus was gonna come back today??
Would you suddenly try to have an active
prayer life and a personal relationship
with The Father???
And I’m sure that if you knew He was coming
back today you certainly would try,
But some people don’t believe that He
would actually forgive you and accept
you into the Kingdom at the last minute,
But I think that He would if you sincerely
meant what you were asking for, that He would
accept you with open arms!!!!
Just like the parable in St. Luke, about the
lost son.
He asked for his inheritance!
Just like us sinners do!!!
He went into the far country, and wasted it away.
Just like Christians when they backslide!!
But our Father accepts them back into the
Kingdom with open arms!!!
Just as He did the prodigal son!!!!
Now I ain’t talking about once in grace
always in grace either. But you know what?
It is once in grace always in grace
But if you’re out of grace, you’re a dis-grace!!
The signs are right under our noses people
they are telling us of His soon , coming
return!!!!
These signs just make us feel the coming
of the Lord is very near
Israel is a nation
Read Ezekiel Chapter 37sometime!!!!
It speaks of the valley of the dry bones
How that land can be resuscitated!!!!
And further tells of the Restoration of a
United Israel.
What would you do if you looked up
and saw Jesus coming???
In Revelation Chap. 13 God’s word tells us how
the world is getting ready for the Anti-Christ!
It tells us of the first and second beast
which is nothing but the End Times People
Are you ready tonight for the return of
Jesus Christ???
Matthew 24:7 says:
For nation shall rise against nation
and kingdom against kingdom
and there shall be famines and pestilences
and earthquakes in divers places.
Just look right now as we speak how many
wars are going on in the world
How many kingdom’s are against each other!
There’s 1000’s or Millions of people starving
to death all over the world and in our own
home towns right now as we speak!!
And Earthquakes are happening where they’ve
never had a quake before,
just recently there was the first in Indianapolis
Indiana
And look as the tidal wave that happened in
Asia, That killed 100’s of thousands of people
God is getting us ready people!
The end is very near!
Satan is working overtime because he’s
even got enough sense to know that the end
time is near.
Matthew 24:8 says:
All these are the beginning of Sorrows!!!!
Ezek. 38 and 39 is telling us that
Russia is a Military world power
and they have designs in the middle east.
People we have enough weapons to blow
up the world, And God only knows
how many times over!!!!
What’s gonna happen when Jesus comes back??
If Jesus came back today The Christian’s
already passed on will be raised
Our reading said in VS.16
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven
with a shout, and the voice of the archangel,
and with the trump of God: and the dead
in Christ shall rise first!!!!
This tells me that there’s two ways we can
leave this ole world
By The Grave, OR
By Rapture!!!
And The Bible does tell us that there
is a generation, that will not face death!!!
AAAAAAHHHHH
The Sound of the Trumpet, The voice of
the Arch angel
The dead in Christ are gonna rise first
Now this is some wonderful Hope isn’t it???
We shouldn’t despair about this place
called the grace, This is only a
resting place for us, just a place to sleep!!
Christians go to heaven when they die!!!!
The Apostle Paul tells us in
2nd Corinth 5:8:
We are confident, I say, and willing rather
to be absent from the body, and to
be present with the Lord!!!
When Jesus returns He’s gonna be bringing
Christians with Him to resurrect their bodies!
AMEN
This resurrection means a reunion of
Body, Soul, and Spirit!!!!!
And our new body is gonna be in
the likeness of Christ!!!
1st John 3:2 says:
Beloved now are we the sons of God
and it doth not yet appear what we
shall be: but we know that, when he
shall appear, we shall be like him;
for we shall see him as he is!!!!!!
There’s not gonna be no more sickness
there in Heaven
Nor will there be any more pain in our bodies
Nor will there be any suffering
nor any more crying
The bible says our tears will be wiped away.
There’s not gonna be any more death
there in Heaven.
Nor will there be any more Doctors,
No Hospitals
No ambulances, No Fire Trucks
No Nursing Homes!
Death has taken its toll since the beginning
of time.
But if Jesus were to come back today
Those of us who are borned again
would escape the sting of death.
VS. 17 in our reading says:
Then we which are alive and remain shall
be caught up together with them in the
clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and
so shall we ever be with the Lord!!!
Ever since time began there’s been death.
Adam and Eve they died!
Abel died
Methuselah died and Moses died.
Jacob died and Joseph died!
Samson didn’t have enough strength to beat death
Solomon wasn’t wise enough to beat death
Men still die daily
But not all Christians will die!!!!!
Hebrews 9:27 says:
And it is appointed unto men once to die
But after this the judgment!!!!
Those of us living when Jesus comes back
will be caught up and changed!
We shall not all sleep!!!!
1st Corinth 15:51 says:
Behold I show you a mystery;
We shall not all sleep, but
we shall all be changed!!!!
In a moment in the twinkling of an eye
We’re gonna be like Enoch and Elijah,
all believers living when Christ
comes will be changed or
Without Death!!!!!!
People I’ll tell you right now
I’d like to be a part of that generation!!
That generation that won’t have to
face that sting of death!!!!!
I’d like to be a child of the Rapture tonight!!!!
How about you???
If you looked up and saw Jesus right now
would you be ready???
Or would you be left behind????
Some may not believe that He’s coming back!
Some may not believe in the Rapture.
Some people may be atheist!!
And Not even Believe in God!!!!
Maybe you don’t believe in God tonight!!!!
But just what if He is real?
And Just what if there will be a Rapture??
WHAT WILL YOU DO THEN????
I’ll tell you what you’ll do!!!
The Bible says:
You’ll be cast into outer darkness
And I’ll tell you where you’ll be
You’ll be in that place called hell
The Bible says:
where the worm dieth not and
the fire is not quenched.
There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth!!!
1st John 2:28 says:
And now little children, abide in him; that,
when he shall appear, we may have confidence
and not be ashamed before him at his coming
The Bible says;
If you’re ashamed of Him
He will be ashamed of You!!!!!
We have to abide in Him and have that
confidence.
That confidence that He will keep His word.
And Keep the Faith that He is coming back.
Are you confident tonight????
Are you confident that He is coming back?
Are you thinking of His return???
Are you ready for that suddenness
of His coming???
In that moment, in that twinkling of an eye?
Were you thinking of Jesus’ return when
you were mad at your wife, husband??
When you were looking at that porn magazine?
Were you thinking of Jesus coming back
when you were passing on that bit
of gossip you heard????
People this is the honest truth tonight
for all of you whether you believe
in Jesus’ Return or not!!!!!
You Must Be Ready for His Coming!!!!!!!
And the Question is: ARE YOU???
The Return of Jesus Christ is gonna
be a sobering event!!!!!!!
A rude awakening for way to many, I’m afraid!
Are you willing tonight to allow
this truth, This Truth about Jesus
Change your life???
There’s a 15 second prayer
between Heaven and hell!!!!!
