When you try to do something without praying, what happens???
But have you ever noticed the difference
of what happens when we pray first???
You can try your very best and your very hardest, and with the most effort, and the most perfection, that you think is possible, and fall on your face every time without prayer!!!
BUT when you pray first it just seems that everything falls right into place don’t it??....
EVEN THE SIMPLEST THINGS WE DO!
Just like reading your bible for example
I can pick up my bible and sometimes read several verses or maybe even a couple of chapters and I wonder what I’ve read...
And then I remember I didn’t pray yet..
I didn’t pray for God to give me His wisdom and knowledge and understanding and retainment of His Word...
And then with just that simple little prayer in Jesus Name you see so much difference! and so much more understanding...
ITS AWESOME!!!!!
So does it help to take time to pray.....
OF COURSE IT DOES!!!
AAAAHHH God’s word says where two or three are gathered together...
And where two or more will come in one accord...that’s when we start to see some action begin to take place in our Walk with God...AMEN
With that simple little thing called prayer we’ll begin to see Souls Saved, and The Sick Healed, and See those bound by the things of this world, People Delivered, and Burdens will begin to be lifted, and we begin to see the power come....Revivals start and the missionary’s begin to see things start happening, and Churches will make large strides and Pastors will begin to preach and teach like never before..and We begin to lift up the Name of Jesus Christ Higher than any other name...Because there’s something about that name...
That Name there’s a Power within itself but when you mingle this thing called Prayer with that Name above all names...

There’s a little bird called the secretary bird and he has wings and he can fly but sometimes his enemy will begin to sneak up on him, much like the devil will attempt to do to you and I tonight...and He won’t have enough sense to spread his wings and fly away from his enemy and what happens???
He perish’s!!!!!
Don’t that remind you of you and Me tonight????
Christians have wings also tonight and they’re called prayer... and at any time we can mount up and spread our little wings. But way to often when we get into trouble.. We forget to pray...That’s our wings people
And when we forget what happens every time?????
Our problems overcomes us or our troubles overcomes us...and we end up being defeated before we even get started...
Look here at the people that’s in our reading tonight... they had been witnessing faithfully to the resurrection of Jesus Christ
Then troublesome times came, and what happened???? Persecution set in on them..
And they were forbidden to speak again about the name of Jesus.....
My God what would we do tonight if we were forbidden to speak the name Of Jesus Christ.....
I’ll tell you right now we’d all be in big trouble!!!! If we couldn’t call on Jesus!!!
But what did they do?? What was their answer to this threat of persecution??
It was prayer!!!!
Our Scrip says and when they had prayed...The place was shaken..
People will say today!!!!Well we don’t have a move of God today like we did 30 years ago...or 40 years ago....
I wonder why tonight?????
It’s because we’re way behind on our prayer life!!

We have to get back to the basics people
and I believe that its Prayer!!!
See believers have all things in common..
Like that song Rise and Shine it says
Its been two thousand years but the story’s still the same!!!!!
Let me tell you something tonight...The story might still be the same People, but the anointing and the feeling of the spirit is all different each and every night!!!!!
We might have a powerful feeling spirit last night but tomorrow it’s a binding spirit...
But if we can overcome what binding us down,,, then look out tonight!!!!!!
And tell me quick what is that helps us to overcome that dampening spirit and what is that helps us to overcome that binding spirit, And what is it that changes it all around for us if we just humble ourselves down and begin to ask from the bottom of our hearts?????????
Come on TELL ME!!!!!

Prayer is what makes our little
world go round and round!!!
When you begin to Pray things begin to happen and all these guys in our Script tonight were all filled with the Holy Ghost
and let me tell you something about the Holy Ghost tonight
In the last part of our reading tonight it says
they spake the Word of God with Boldness!
That’s when things begin to happen people when you begin to pray and speak the Word of God with Boldness!!!!!!!
You can’t get down on your knees and pray a little wimpy prayer...
I’m telling you tonight when you pray you have to enter in beyond the veil and ask with boldness, and you have to ask like you really need it...I think you have to rattle those pearly gates a little bit if you want to get some attention tonight!!!!
And what you ask make sure you seal it in Jesus Name.....!!!!!!!
And you better not be asking for any foolishness either!!!!!
But these guys had a great task confronting them and their opponents were fierce!!!
They needed a greater power than what they had among themselves!!!!
They needed something a lot more than they could do on their own!!!!
They needed courage....And they needed God’s wisdom!!!!!
They needed that Power that only the Holy Ghost could give them!!!AMEN
People that is the ultimate thing today that God’s people needs today!!!!!
But for the most part you mention the Holy Ghost to People and they want to run from you!!!!!They’ll think you done went squirlly
But it ain’t nothing to run from...Its something we better be running tooo!!!!!
If we want to make it thought this terrible world and all the turmoil and all the temptations and all the sufferings and all the pain, and agonies!!!!!
How does anyone make it without the Holy Ghost Tonight????!!!!!!!
Now we know that it takes the Holy Ghost for us to be convicted enough to run to that altar and be saved!!!!
But I’m talking about something more tonight!!!!
I’m talking about the full prescription!!!!!
I’m talking about something that can’t be compared to anything in this world..
There’s nothing in this world to compare
There’s no alcohol, nor any Drug nor any Woman or Man that can fill the void in your life tonight like the Holy Ghost can!!!
And when the devil tempts you and you begin to be tried and tempted of satan...
This in-filling of the Holy Ghost is what is gonna allow you to face the tasks that’s put before you!!!!
And Honey let me tell you something right now, you already know that this world can put some tasks before you that there’s no way that you can make it without Jesus and the Holy Ghost tonight!!!
And people will say well why, WHY can’t I continuously be filled with the Holy Ghost?
Its because our hearts and our lives are being filled with so many things of this world!!!! The Holy Ghost is ready to fill us and re-fill us but He ain’t gonna come in where he ain’t welcome
and he sure ain’t gonna come in where there’s sin or impurities!!!!!
You can’t crowd the Holy Ghost into a tiny little corner in your life and expect that you’re gonna get all the things that God has in store for you!!!!!!!AMEN
Oh but when you begin to pray and you begin to seek God and you begin to become pure in your life and your heart and your prayer life gets stronger...Then the doors begin to open up and the dam that’s holding back the water...The gates swing open wide and your soul begins to hum in the Spirit...you begin to get tuned in with God’s will in your life and you begin to start to see things happen!!!!!!!
Then The Holy Ghost will begin to work in your life and you begin to be filled and re-filled the way that it’s meant to be!!!!!!
People don’t let worldliness hold back this power in your life...you have to let the things of this life go!!!!
You can’t drink the alcohol anymore!!!!
You can’t do the drugs anymore!!!
You can’t commit adultery and fornication
anymore!!!!!!
You can’t smoke the cigarettes anymore!!!!
You can’t be smoking the dope anymore!!
You have to erase these sins in your life!!!!
You have to begin to strive to be perfect like Jesus Christ did when he walked this earth!!!!!!!
You have to strive to be without sin in your life!!!!!!
You have to begin to pray for God’s help to cut out the things of this life and Pray for the Holy Ghost to have his way in our lives and turn those wheels of spiritual power!!!!
There’s some people that will tell you that they have gotten the Holy Ghost and they have become perfect and they don’t sin
anymore...BALONEY
Even The Apostle Paul tells us in
Romans 3:23:
For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God!!!!
And in Romans 7:15 it says:
For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate,
that do I!!!!!
See People Paul is telling us that we can’t be completely perfect...But we have to try!!
It boils down to this!!!!
Its not a matter of us getting the Holy Ghost!!!! BUT
It’s a matter of Him getting US!!!!!AMEN
I guess what I’m trying to say is don’t try to get more of Him! but let Him have more of you!!!!!!
For us to be filled with the Holy Ghost then we are to throw out all the things that are dis-pleasing to God!!!!!
We have to let the Holy Ghost have
full possession of us!!!!!!
Its easy for us to organize, or to preach or to sing but nothing is gonna happen unless all of the above is empowered by the Holy Ghost!!!!!
God’s Power is waiting, and ready to empower us and to posses us!!!!
This power fell upon those early Christians when they prayed
And that is what we can expect as well!!!
But we have to clean up tonight!!!
Today is the day of Salvation!!!
LUKE 11:13 Says:
If ye then being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him???
The Holy Ghost gave the Apostles new courage!!
They were told not to speak or teach in the Name of Jesus...But they Spake the word of God with boldness....
Way to often tonight we are to timid concerning the things of Jesus Christ!!!
But through this power of Prayer and
the Help of the Holy Ghost!!!
Being timid will be overcome!!!
Even Apostle Peter didn’t have the courage to admit to a little serving girl that he knew Jesus Christ of Nazareth!!!!!
But on the day of Pentecost...He spoke with boldness, to a great multitude about
Jesus Christ!!!!
He lifted up the Name of Jesus
Higher than any other name!!!
And Three Thousand People got SAVED!!!
But this boldness came only after 10 days of WHAT??? Prayer!!!!
We need this courage today and it only comes with prayer!!!!
When we pray the personal presence of Jesus makes us bold to take that
stand for Him!!!!!!!!
The Men in our reading tonight Prayed...
And then they went out to turn the world upside down!!!!
Acts 6:4 says:
But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word!!
Where did they receive the power and the courage to do this????
They received it after they had prayed!!
We already read tonight that they were all filled with the Holy Ghost.....
Tonight if you’re feeling weak
Or if you’re feeling powerless
Or if you feel like you’re a
failing Christian tonight
Just Remember this one thing!!!
Prayer Changes Things!!!!!
Pray and this Power
shall be all Your’s Tonight !!!!!
