Isaiah 1: 10 - 20
Tonight do you realize that God’s a remedy for your sin???
Men are constantly seeking remedies for bodily illness’s and infirmities..
And when they find them, they are eager to
recommend them to other people!!!
But Man has no remedy for sin...
And even before we’ll seek a remedy for our sin, our infirmity must become a reality...Or our illness has to get to a terrible low in our live’s!!!!
Listen to me tonight Church!!!
We’re living in a terrible world today...
It’s like nothing I’ve ever seen, in my lifetime!!!
Now I know I’m gettin older, even though I don’t like to admit it...
But it just seems like yesterday I was in High school and working summers at a gas station where I pumped the gas and checked the oil and cleaned the windshield..
And today...You pump your own and clean your own glass and so forth...
But I remember when gas was 59 cents a gallon and a pop was a quarter and a candy bar was a nickle or dime...
And guess what prices ain’t the only thing that’s changed in these short years...
The things we see happening today ain’t nothin like when I was a kid...
People are shooting each other just for kicks....and even school kids are packing weapons and shootin each other...
This world is probably worse than the days of Sodom and Gomorrah....
Homo’s are ordained & pastoring churches...supposedly peaching God’s word
There’s same sex marriages and they’re voting it legal....in some states...
A Mom that stays home is almost unheard of!!!!!
School kids are not only having sex together, but its called a natural thing!!!
Instead of passing out Bibles we’re handing out condoms!!!!!
Judge’s are making murder legal....
People we need to get on our knees and we need to get on them fast!!!
You can’t watch TV without hearing cussing and taking God’s name in vain...
Even the commercials ain’t worth watching.
I’m afraid it’s a sign of the times that’s fixin to come upon us people....
The United States is getting ready to
fall flat on its face, if the Christians don’t start taking a stand instead of sitting back and waiting for somebody else to !!!!!
Isaiah 64:6 says:
We are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteous nesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away!!!
We need to start realizing what Sin is folks
We need to start praying up and fast tonight
Romans 3:10 says:
As it is written, there is none Righteous, No, Not one!!!!
The Apostle Paul is quoting this scripture to the Romans to help them see that there is universal guilt....
Everybody is Guilty People!!!!!!
But By Jesus Christ We are Cleansed!!!!
We need to get rid of the attitude that was left with us back in the sixty’s....
If It feels good do it!!!!!
Lose that saying.....Quickly!!!!!
1st Peter 1:3 says:
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the Dead!!!!
There is hope in our Lord Jesus Christ!!!!
Today’s Churches have to many gray areas
and not near enough Black and White!!!!AMEN
For so many years we heard the preacher say you can’t straddle the fence!!!!
You have to be either Hot or Cold...
And our Bible even says...
If you’re lukewarm I’ll spew you out of my mouth!!!!!
Today the Church ain’t the people that’s inside of it....
People are to worried about how fancy the building is!!!!
People the Church ain’t the four surrounding walls, its you and me inside that makes up the Church!!!!!!
It’s not the sign over the door!!!
it’s the Prayer Warriors inside the doors that make up the Church!!!!!
Galatians 3:22 says:
But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe!!!
There’s the main problem today,
are you really believing?????
Years ago you couldn’t go up town and rent porn movies or buy nasty magazines...
But today with just the click of your mouse you have all the filthiness of this world right at your fingertips!!!!!
The devil has creeped into our homes, and into our children’s minds and they’ve taken prayer out of schools....and God is being pushed further and further away and satan invited closer and closer and right on in the front door!!!!
We have to first identify
what the reasons of sin is and then we have to begin to attack them with our sword, and our shield, which is God’s word, and that powerful person called the Holy Ghost, and not to mention Prayer, and fasting.........!!!!!!
Romans 5:12 says:
Wherefore, as by one man - sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned!!!!!!
It’s not all our fault...we were born in sin..
And now we have to deal with it!!!!!
But we have a powerful weapon against sin and satan tonight ........
Psalms 51:5 says:
behold I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me!!!!
People God is gettin very tired of people playing church...and He’s gettin tired of people trying to take His Job!!!!
We’re playin God and Playin with God
All of you here tonight that profess to be Christian’s...You are the Church...
You may be the only Jesus that other people see!!!!!!
You may be the only Bible that someone reads!!!!!
You’d be surprised at how many people are watching every move you make just waiting for you to flub up..so they can catch you!!!
Here’s a powerful scripture, that tells it just exactly how it is for you and me!!!!
Psalm 58:3
The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies!!!!!
We don’t have to be taught to sin...
It comes natural to us....
We have to sometimes be careful because satan will try his best to just cause lies to come right on out of our mouth’s!!!!
Tonight when you leave this Church house
you are not only a representative of The Rock Church, but you’re a representative of our Precious Lord Jesus Christ!!!!
And Why is it so important for us to be good representative’s for Jesus???
Cause when we as Christians see other people professing one thing and living something different, then what do we automatically say about them?????
We say THEY’RE LIVING A LIE!!!
And when sinners see us professing one thing and living something else then what do they think right away???
They see the lie just as well as anybody else does!!!!!
Then the devil will continue to fog their minds and they’ll say
Well if so and so can do that as a Christian and go to Heaven, then I’ll be right there with them!!!!
I’ve said it myself!!!!!
We are the ones that set the example’s!!!!
When we allow sin in our camp or our house....
WE MIGHT AS WELL BE DOIN IT!!!!
If we’re so called Christians and shacking or drinking or cussin....Then that’s not a very good witness for Jesus now is it???
Ephesians 2:3 says:
Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others!!!
SIN COMES NATURAL TO US ALL!!!
But by the precious blood of Jesus Christ we have hope tonight!!!!
I said We have hope!!!!!!!
We begin to see the Results of sin!!!
The Bible says:
We say we love Him with our mouth; but in our actions we don’t show it!!!!
Titus 1:15 says:
Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbeleiving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled!!!
James 2:14 says:
What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works?
Can faith save him???
NO NO NO NO!!!!!
The Bible says very plainly VS 20
O Vain Man, Faith without works is dead!!!
So just how are you doing tonight????
Are you dead???Are you in a Coma???
We are naturally evil thinkers people....
Mark 7:21 Jesus said:
For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders....
We’re just playing Church today folks..
We’re just going through the motions...
I see it every where I go.....
People will come a night or two for Revival and maybe sing a song, and throw a few bucks in the offering plate and you don’t see them anymore until the Sunday morning service...
People there’s more to it than that!!!!
There’s souls that’s lost and dying and going to hell right now as we speak and it seems that there’s nobody that cares!!!!!
Don’t you think its about time we begin to start to witness about Jesus Christ to somebody...
Don’t you think its about time we stand up and speak for God...
Don’t you think its about time we try to win some souls to God before its everlasting to late?????
It don’t have anything to do with how much money you put in the offering plate
It does make a difference how many times you come to church...
Hebrews 10:25 says:
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together!!!
It don’t matter if you are a good person or not!!!!!
It don’t matter if you work everyday or not
It don’t matter what kind of car you drive
It don’t matter what kind of house you live in!!!!!!
What matters is Jesus!!!!!!
It matters about how often you lift up his name!!!!!
What matters is your personal relationship with Him!!!!!
What matters is your prayer life!!!!
But people our flesh overcomes us to often
Our flesh is corrupt!!!!
Romans 7:18 says:
For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not!!!!!
Paul is trying to explain to us here that we are dominated by sin and satan’s pursuits!!
John 8:21 Jesus said:
I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come....
He’s trying so hard to warn us of our future
He’s trying to tell us to repent before its to late!!!!
Romans 6:23 says
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord!!!!!!!!!
People its all about that name....
That name above all names!!!!
His Name is Jesus Christ!!!!!
There’ a Remedy for our sins!!!!!
First Repentance is a big requirement!!!
Luke 13:3 says:
I tell you , Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish!!!!!
Acts 17:30 says:
And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent!!!!!
Our Redemption is only through the precious blood of Jesus....
You must be re-generated!!!!!!!
John 3:7 says:
Marvel not that I said unto thee,
Ye must be born again!!!!!
It don’t get no plainer than that!!!!!
Tonight your illness has been diagnosed!!!
Tonight’s diagnosis is sin!!!!!!!!!
Now you have to apply the prescription!!!
I have the prescription..its already written
And the price has already been paid!!!!
It’s the Blood of Jesus Christ!!!!!
Will you pick up your medicine tonight...
