Summary: There is no Whoops in Gods word. Nothing that happens is a whoops in Gods eyes. Every situation is redeemable. Äll things work together for good for those who love God”

Whoops!

Not heavenly language there is no Whoops in Gods word. Nothing that happens is a whoops in Gods eyes. Every situation is redeemable. Äll things work together for good for those who love God”

There is no Second Best in Gods house.

Some would suggest the situation that arose between Abraham and Lot was a whoops situation:

So, he’s off to find fame and fortune – we’ll soon fix that. Let’s send nephew Lot with him. Look – Lot has chosen the prime land. Only the mountains left for Abraham! Whoops!

Genesis 13:14-17 The LORD said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, “Lift up your eyes from where you are and look north and south, east and west. 15 All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever. 16 I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted. 17 Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you.”

Keep a vision of God alive in your heart. Don’t allow present events to cloud what God has said to you. Take steps to make it a reality. Begin even now to move in the vision that God has given to you. As you step out, the provisions to make it a reality will flow. Today is a day for looking up and looking out - with eyes of faith - seeing the possibilities there are in God! Abraham became the father of Nations, He became the father of the Son of promise who became the father of Messiah now that was no Whoops.

What God has promised has not changed. We can walk in the reality of God’s Word. God is still in control! The blood of Jesus is still powerful. Don’t put aside the dream that God has given you. As Abraham said “God will provide a Lamb!

God is going to raise up a generation who are fearless - who will make their decisions on who God is and what He has promised! Not a generation who look at the circumstances of Life and say Whoops I’m out of here!

This is God’s hour! Recall Jeremiah 29: 11. Our security is in the personhood of Jesus Christ.

Keep walking in Jesus and the Glory of His might. Worship Him in all seasons both day and by night. Everything that can be shaken will be shaken but that which is eternal will stand in the fight.

Captivity: God can’t be in this! Can He?

Let’s sell this dreamer Joseph into slavery. Whoops! – he took over the whole of Egypt! Genesis 41:44; Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I am Pharaoh, but without your word no one will lift hand or foot in all Egypt.”

How about a whole tribe? Whoops! They came out a mighty nation.

Balaam prophesied this when he saw them: Numbers 24:8-9 “God brought them out of Egypt; they have the strength of a wild ox. They devour hostile nations and break their bones in pieces with their arrows they pierce them. 9 Like a lion they crouch and lie down, like a lioness—who dares to rouse them? “May those who bless you be blessed and those who curse you be cursed!”

Let’s really make sure this time - 850 against one!

But that one was Elijah – his God answers by fire! 1 Kings 18:38; Then the fire of the LORD fell and burned up the sacrifice, the wood, the stones and the soil, and also licked up the water in the trench.

Persecution

Let’s use this fanatic, Saul, to scatter the church. Whoops! – now they’re everywhere! Acts 8:4; Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went.

Today Let’s knock over those twin towers in New York. Why not the Pentagon, at the same time.

Whoops! – People are praying and turning to Christ all over America! Oh no, it’s happening in nations all over the world!

Matthew 16:18-19 …on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

The greatest “whoops” of all time Look – the Son of God has come to earth.

Now’s our chance to kill Him! Whoops!

Philippians 2:9-11 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Finally

There are no “whoopses” in Heaven: God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life. He sent His only Son to die for you and to take away your sins. There is no situation in your life that is too difficult for God. He can fix up all your whoopses.
