1. Contact with the Word (v.4 “prophesy over these bones”)

a. God and the Word are one (Revelations 19:13)

i. So whenever you come in contact with the Word, you come in contact with God

ii. To get in contact with God, you must come in contact with his Word

b. Nothing happened until the bones were spoke to with God’s Word

i. You cannot separate God and his Word.

1. whenever God does something he does it through his Word

a. His Word is his Will, His will is his Word

i. The Word is not present to confirm manifestations, manifestations are present to confirm the Word

c. There is no life where there is no Living Word

i. Since God is life and the life is in the Word, when there is no Life, things don’t change

1. The Word awakens the faith which has been dormant

a. It is when we respond to God’s word that something begins to become alive in us

i. The inspired Word of God inspires me.

ii. Some people want to find God’s will for their lives from a voice speaking from the sky

1. There is a big difference between the books that men make and the Book that makes men

a. The devil is not a afraid of the Bible that has dust on it

i. If you read anything else more that the Word, you are in trouble

d. Key Question: Who is speaking into your life?

2. Connect (v. 7 “…came together…”)

a. Problem: Dislocation

b. You will never experience the fulfillment of your purpose and victory until you get connected

i. It was not until they connected that they found it purpose

1. Ephesians 4

a. Job of leaders: Adjustments

i. The job of a leader, under the power of the Holy Spirit, is to make adjustment in people’s character and attitudes

1. Galatians 6:1 “Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness…”

a. The word “restore” literally means to put a bone back into place

b. In Ezekiel 37 we find “bones”, that is lives, which were scattered without purpose

ii. It is like when a mechanic makes an adjustment in a front wheel alignment in a car

ii. Goal in connection

1. “proper working of each individual part” (Eph. 4:16)

a. SERVANTHOOD

2. “cause growth”

a. every attitude, everything you say and do, is it causing your brother to grow

b. when you grow, we all grow

i. leave infantile, childish attitude

1. how do you react when someone has a bone with you?

3. Oneness (Eph. 4:13)

c. Like a bone in a body, your gift is a working function necessary for the body of Christ to be COMPLETE

i. You are incredibly gifted and not know it

1. you will never find your VALUE until you get connected

a. everyone has a ministry to fulfill

i. every member is a minister

ii. When God wants to bless you he places a friend to be connect with in your life

1. People spiritually dry up when they enter into “isolation”

d. Key Question: Who are you connecting with?

3. Come Alive (v.10…and the breath came into them….”)

a. There is no life unless there is breath

i. The same word used for breath in the bible is the word Spirit

b. Notice that the Holy Spirit always works in cooperation and collaboration of the Word

c. What makes the difference between you and somebody else is the Spirit of God

i. Jesus ministry of supernatural manifestation did not begin until

1. God spoke to Him “This is my beloved Son”

2. God pour our his Spirit upon Him at water baptism

d. Conditions for the impartation of the Holy Spirit

i. Thirsty – “Dry bones”

1. John

ii. Submission

1. in the O.T. the Spirit came “upon them”

2. in the New Covenant the Spirit came “in” or “into” them

a. it is not that we have a monopoly on the Holy Spirit, but that the Holy Spirit has a monopoly on us

e. Promise: “If I can do this with dry bones, imagine what I can do with my people when they get filled the Holy Spirit”

f. Key Question: “Who is filling your life?”

4. Contact + Connection + Coming Alive = Transformation

a. An “exceedingly great army” (Ezekiel 37:10)
