I. Fasting

Mark 9

28 And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?

Matthew 17

20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

King Jehoshaphat in 2 Chronicles the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon warred against Isreal.

THE NIV SAYS 5Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
