LET THE RIVERS OF REVIVAL FLOW
Ezekial 47:1-12
INTRO
There are three categories of people in life today. There are those that make things happen. Those that watch things happen. Then those that don’t know what is happening. IF we want revival in the church, we need more people that will make things happen.
BODY
THE RECIPE FOR REVIVAL
-The Presence of God in Revival (vv. 1)
-God must reside within us (Our temple) in order to have revival and change
-We must be born again of the Spirit of God
-We must have the Person of the Holy Spirit to have Revival (vv. 1)
-The river is symbolic of the Holy Spirit
-John 7:37, those that have the Holy Spirit will be filled and the river will flow
from them.
-Zechariah 14:8
-The Temple Ezekial refers too.
-It is Humble
-The water flowed under the threshold.
-God will not use the Prideful
-It was Holy (vv. 1)
-The altar – a place of sacrifice
-Jesus Christ made the final sacrifice on the altar in the form of a cross
-It was Heated
-The temple faced the sun as it arose
-God cannot come into the life’s of the cold and frozen
-God’s spirit cannot work in a place that is dead
-We must have the Power of the Spirit of God in Revival (vv. 2-5)
-Once a revival starts it cannot be stopped, just like a rising river
-Nothing in this world can stop God when He is moving
-The Purpose of the Holy Spirit in Revival (vv. 6-7)
-When water flows, trees will grow
-We will grow spiritually and crave the Word that feeds us
-Fish will grow
-We will become fishers of men and the church will grow
-The Fruit will grow and be shown
-We will shine like Christ and others will be drawn to what we have
-The Healing will come
-The Spirit will heal the wounds of sin and bring new health
CLOSING
What is stopping you from having revival in your life? Have you come to a point where you have surrendered it all the Christ and allowed Him to feed you and grow you? Are you a child of God, that is lacking and needs to be cleansed, so that God can spark a revival in you. Today is the day for Revival.
