Pastor Qualifications
Good Day! This day you are going to hear the Word of the Living God and His Son Jesus Christ. The Word will set you free from any deception.
There are many qualifications of a Pastor. I will only cover one of them today.
First we must lay a foundation of the purpose of scripture in order to be sure that the truth of God’s Word will be effective in your life.
2 Tim. 3:16-17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Scripture is designed to correct error in the believer’s life, home and the church. Every verse is designed to bring correction in every area of life.
If the church is not praying for the sick properly then we need to look at the Word of God so we can have instruction and correction as to proper prayer for the sick.
See James 5:14 as to how to pray for the sick.
If a church does not know how to enter into God’s presence to worship then we need the scriptures in order to this this correctly. See Psalms 100:2-3 on the correct approach for worship.
Scripture is not only devotional and nice reading but the main reason we read the scriptures is to change so we can become more like Christ to do good works.
God wrote all of scripture by the Holy Spirit and we are to receive it all or nothing. The same God Who wrote passages on love also wrote about hell. If we cannot accept the difficult passages as truth and receive all of scripture then how do we know that we are saved? If God lied about even one verse of scripture then the whole Bible is a lie. We do not pick and choose what we are going to believe. We either accept it all or nothing. Our salvation hangs on the fact that every verse of scripture is true and that God means what He says.
The Bible is not a book of culture, stories or fantasy. The Bible is the very Word of God and we are to live by every word (Deut. 8:3).
2 Peter 1:20-21 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
All scripture came by the Holy Spirit. All writers of the Bible were moved (influenced) by the Holy Spirit and they were not influenced by anything else. How does the Holy Spirit move upon men to do His will?
Read: Acts 4:20 “For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard“. When the Holy Spirit comes upon you to do something you cannot help but do His will.
Men did not influence the writing of scriptures, nor culture, nor angels, nor demons, nor the world, nor time, nor weather, nor food, nor creation, nor feelings, nor intelligence sway the writing of the Bible. The only influence upon the writing of the Bible is the Holy Spirit. If this is not true then we are all doomed because the Bible is a book separate from God Himself. If the Bible and every verse that it contains is not the very Word of God then we have no hope. The Bible is applicable for everyone throughout all generations. The Bible is to influence culture and the world not the world and culture influencing the believer and the church.
Today I’m going to give you a difficult verse of scripture to receive. If you receive it as the Word of the Living God then you will be free to live in the Spirit according to it’s truth.
First I’m going to give the main qualification of a Pastor and it is being a man. You must be a male in order to qualify to Pastor a church.
Ephesians 4:8 wherefore he says, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
God gave these particular spiritual gifts unto men only. The Greek word here is for male, man in the plural or men. There is a Greek word for women and for mankind meaning both male and female. God choose to use the Greek for men only because He wanted men to have these gifts and not women. The gifts are:
Ephesians 4:11 and he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
These gifts are authority gifts of holding a particular office within the church. Men have supreme authority here on earth under Christ if they are born again.
Women have a different role of supporting man in his work and do not have authority over men.
This is the difficult passage to accept: 1 Timothy 2:12 And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence.
Women are not to teach in the church or have any kind of authority over man such as roles of manager, administrator, teacher or leader over men in any area of life. This is the Word of the living God. The same God wrote this passage of scripture as He wrote all other scripture. There is no other verse of scripture that cancels out this command of God. The Holy Spirit said: And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. If any one verse could be disqualified from obeying by another verse of scripture then we would have a contradiction in the Word of God and God would be a liar.
Some people think that what it says in the book of Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
The topic in the book of 1 Timothy is authority in the government of God. The instructions in this book are about the proper order within the church. A careful study will show this.
The topic of the book of Galatians is blessings and curses. In order to know what God is talking about in Gal. 3:28 you will need to read Gal. 3:7-8 to know that all believers are children of Abraham and are blessed according to God’s promise.
Galatians 3:29 says that Christians inherit God’s blessings. When it comes to receiving God’s blessings you only have to be born-again. God does not see male or female when it comes to giving His blessings, all He sees is Christ in you and the blessings of Abraham are upon you. There is no difference between male and female when it comes to receiving God’s blessings. God blesses all His children the same but has a different role for men and women and the work they are to do.
When it comes to church order, authority and headship God sees a difference between male and female. Men are the Head of the home and not women. God sees a difference (Eph. 5:23).
The authority structure here on earth is plainly given in: 1 Corinthians 11:3 But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.
The Kingdom of God is ruled by God and the keys of the Kingdom have been given to men. The word kingdom has two parts to it. The first part is king and the second part is domain. Kings are men and have always been a male person. Queens are female. The church is to be operating like the Kingdom of God. The church is to be ruled by men and not women.
You have God the Father in supreme authority of heaven and earth, then the Son Jesus Christ, then man and then woman. God uses the appropriate word for male and female throughout the Bible to show that He does see a difference in man and woman and the roles He called them into. We are to study in order to know the truth of the scriptures.
Receive the truth of the Word of God and change your life according to what it says and you will be free to walk in the Spirit and bear more fruit to influence the church to live by the truth. When the church lives by God’s authority structure then you will have great power and authority to save the lost and prosper the church to its highest level of holiness.
The church will be able to do the same miracles that Jesus did and even greater. God’s Kingdom needs to operate within the church in order for great signs and wonders to be manifested. The church should have power over the weather like Jesus and to be able to raise the dead, multiple food, walk on water, heal everyone and drive the kingdom of Satan out of peoples lives.
Receive God’s Word today and have great blessings on your life. Reject God’s Word and He will reject you.
I pray today for all who hear or read this message that God will deliver all women from the spirit of Jezebel and all men from the spirit of King Ahab. God has sent forth His Word to heal you today. Jesus, deliver all from deception as your Word goes into their ears. Receive it and be free to live in truth. May God renew everyone’s mind in the Spirit and reveal truth to all in Jesus’ mighty name.
