My God is Able

Text: II Chron. 32:9-15

Intro.

Sennacherib was attacking Lachish in 699 B.C. He asks, “Is God able to deliver them from him?” He is questioning God’s ability to save them in relation to the fact that the other nations gods were not able to save them.

My God is Able:

I. To Save to the Uttermost.

Heb 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

II. To Sanctify

1Th 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

III. To Keep that which We’ve Committed.

2Ti 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

IV. To Answer Prayer

Eph 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

V. To Fulfill His Promises.

Ro 4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

VI. To Deliver

Da 3:19 Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.

VII. To Keep Us from Falling.

Jude 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

Conc.

My God is indeed able to meet to meet every need that you may have. Perhaps there is someone here who needs to be saved, sanctified, or some other need. I want you to know that God is able to do what you need Him to do.
