Encourage you, as a follower-of-Jesus, to be comfortably confident to stand next to any person...hands–on, eyes & ears-open, praying out-loud for a Kingdom break-through.
Many of you have listened...you’ve commented to me on the passion. Many of you are in agreement.
Many of you have stepped into new ways of thinking about it & doing it!
Hooray! THANK YOU...now don’t stop!
READ Luke 7: 18-23
LET ME ASK YOU A QUESTION....
If doing Luke 4: 18-19 (Isaiah 61) stuff was sufficient for Jesus to prove His lordship to others, wouldn’t you think that same ministry today would accomplish the same thing?
If we don’t return to Jesus’ transferable ministry.
(becoming followers of Jesus instead of American Christians)...we stand to lose an entire generation.
It’s that urgent.
The point Gary Best addresses in his final chapter is this...HOW DO WE KEEP IT UP? HOW DO WE SUSTAIN IT?
It won’t happen without challenge.
It won’t happen without intentionality.
It’s one thing to get excited about doing Jesus’ ministry when we focus on it, like we’ve done the last 8-9 weeks.. It’s another thing to make it second-nature to your Christian life. RIGHT?
THE KEY IS HAVING A KINGDOM PERSPECTIVE....

"When we pray, we are reaching for the Kingdom and proclaiming that it is within reach. If I don’t see it today, I may tomorrow or the following day. If I cannot pray from faith, I pray from hope. When I am relatively hopeless, I pray out of principle."
The principle is this….I pray for Kingdom breakthroughs because God’s WORD tells me to! If Jesus clearly tells me to DO something, I do it, not as much out of faith but out of OBEDIENCE. He’s my LORD.
Let me close with one more story... John 2: 1-10 Jesus Changes Water to Wine
DID YOU EVER THINK ABOUT WHO KNEW THAT JESUS’ DID A MIRACLE this day?
only the servants ..
only the ones who were OBEDIENT experienced Jesus’ miracle.
THE KEY TO Persevering: OBEDIENCE
LORD, make me your servant. OBEDIENT TO YOUR WORD. You tell us to GO & CONTINUE YOUR KINGDOM MINISTRY. Lord, if you say GO...I’ll go! PRAY.
