The Fifth Cup

Time and again the Bible speaks of a cup of wrath which will be poured out against sinners. It is a cup filled to the brim with the perfect wrath of a perfectly just God. The cup of wrath was ours to drink, but in an unimaginable act of compassion, God chose to intervene and take our wrath upon Himself. "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." John 3:17
