About Rich
  • Education: I have a Bachelor’s in Theology, and a Master's in Ministry
  • Experience: I have been a vocational minister for over 20 years.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Take what you can use, and leave the rest behind. But give the Lord the glory!
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: Life application
  • One of my favorite illustrations: A man loving a colony of ants and becoming an ant to warn them of the coming danger, as an illustration of Christ’s coming as a man.
  • Family: I am married to Sandra. We have 4 adult sons, three daughter in-laws, and three grandchildren.
  • What my parents think of my sermons: My mom cries every time she hears me!
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She is my biggest fan and my biggest critic
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Be transparent and yourself
  • Books that have had an impact: Conspiracy of Kindness, and If you want to walk on water, you’ve got to get out of the boat.
  • Hobbies: Fishing, hicking, traveling.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Let Jesus love you, and love others through you!
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: I once congradulated an 86 year old couple on their 67 wedding anniversary, and said in front of my wife and congregation, "I could not imagine wanting to be married to any one for 67 years". What I meant to say was, " I could not imagine being married for 67 years." oops
  • What I want on my tombstone: He believed what he said.
