About Anthony
  • Education: Batchelor of Theology (Hons) Nottingham University
  • Experience: 3 Years in Devon- very Charismatic church. 3 Years in Maidstone with evangelist Eric Delve. 6 months here in Horsley. I have ministered as an evangelist in most counties in Britain, and also in Canada, Spain, Greece and Kenya. Involved with ’Revival Fire’ Summer conference in South East England
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: I prepare full manuscripts, but preach just glancing at them. I then find God gives me extra things as I preach, and He’s always a lot better than me...
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: Willow Creek /Hybels/ John Ortberg etc have profoundly effected how I lead and preach.
  • One of my favorite illustrations: Fisherman who throws back all the big fish because he’s only got a small frying pan. His friend says "GET A BIGGER FRYING PAN!"
  • Family: A husband of but one wife A father of but three kids! A miniature dachshund dog...
  • What my parents think of my sermons: They’re not Christians yet, but they think I’m good at my job.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: He’s very handsome (Okay, I wrote that myself)
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Enjoy yourself! And remember passion and enthusiasm communicates!
  • Books that have had an impact: Pilgrim’s Progress The Divine Conspiracy, Dallas Willard
  • Hobbies: Running, canoeing, reading
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: A woman stood up and took her skirt off, then walked out.
  • What I want on my tombstone: I told you I was ill!
