Please pass comment I promise to pass on constructive comments to those who leave them on mine, I will make a point of visiting your sermons also. I hope they are a helpful source of guidance, encouragement and challlange to others as they are to myself. Thanks, Preach the Word!
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: Listening to the preaching of Ted Donnelly at the Banner of truth Ministers confernce made a lasting impression on my life as he expounded Romans over three nights God presence was most evident.
  • One of my favorite illustrations: To ask the question where are we going? Tombstone inscrpition: "Pause, now as you pass by, as you are now once was I, as I am now so you must be, prepare yourself to follow me!" Then someone had written underneath, "To follow you I’m not content until I know which way you went!"
  • Family: I am 48 years of age and I am married to Danielle, we were both converted from secular backgrounds in 1995. And the moment we were saved we knew God was calling us to serve him with our lives. (It took around four years though). This lead me to eventually join a missionary society in the UK called the Open Air mission as an un-adulterated street evangelist which involved preaching and one to one street work with the un-churched.
  • What my parents think of my sermons: They are unsaved, yet they are generally complimatry yet so is the devil himself....
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: You would have to ask her, but she always puts me right.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: There is a goldmine of advice, but the best I was given about preaching and entering the ministry, is to avoid it at all cost. Unless like the apostle Paul who was compelled to preach 1Cor 9:16 "Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel." Only preach if you are called to preach by God, otherwise it will be fruitless.
  • Books that have had an impact: Arnold Dalllimore volumes 1,2: The life and times of George Whitfield. JC Ryle: On the Gospels. Wayne Grudem: Systamatic Theology DR M.L. Jones series on the book of Romans and Ephesians.
  • Hobbies: Jesus is the main man followed by my family. But because of the third law of thermo dynamics my home is in need of constant repair, so any time I have out from ministry is given to my family who are my first ministry and the up keep of our home which is falling apart around us. And I do enjoy it, so I suppose its a hobbie of sort.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: "Don’t YOU fear God?"
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: Two things both concerning fire. 1: Whilst open air preaching my open air-board was set on fire by a member of the public. Which I was using to speak from in the open air. It made a great visual aid!" Secondly only this Chrismas 2006 in a candlelight service during the sermon one of the youth of the Church accidently set his hair on fire in front of his mother who screamed and halted proceedings, thankfully we were able to extinguish the fire and I was able to continue. Thankfully nobody w
