  • Experience: BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH The Reverend Dr. Bishop William Bryant Wilmore, Jr. has been described by many as “A 21st Century Preacher, with an old fashioned religion.” He has faithfully served as Senior Pastor of the exciting New Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, in Belvedere, DE, for the past 34 years. He is also the presiding prelate over Firehouse Ministries, INTL. His preaching experience spans more than 45 years. Bishop Wilmore’s explosive, anointed and illustrative preaching style has captivated congregations and has made him one of the most sought after preachers in the Mid-Atlantic region. He is a gifted writer, singer, Gospel Music Musician, Playwright and Actor. He a proud member in good standing in the coveted actors union SAG (Screen Actors Guild) and can been seen in numerous motion pictures. Bishop Wilmore is also former President of the United Baptist Convention of Delaware, Inc. and former Moderator of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Association of Delaware. In addition, he is a Chaplain for the 970-member Delaware State Police Force and holds the rank of Captain.
