  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: I hope you find these sermons useful. They were written with a non-churched audience in mind in hopes of presenting the powerful simplicity of the gospel message. May God bless your ministry as you present His word, as He has blessed me.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: Crawford Lorritts sermon on the fiery furnace. One of the most powerful sermons I have ever listened to. A reminder that taking a stand is never easy, but that God always sees us through, and honors our stand for Him.
  • One of my favorite illustrations: Too many to choose from.
  • Family: Married to Carol since 1989. Father of 2 boys and one daughter. One granddaughter.
  • What my parents think of my sermons: Hey, what happened to the days when we preached to him?
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: I wish Billy Graham was preaching today.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: 1. Keep it simple 2. Not being ready is no reason to avoid Gods calling. The truth is youll never be ready, because God always has more work to do in your life.
  • Books that have had an impact: Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby Purpose Driven Church by Rick Warren He Still Moves Stones by Max Lucado In The Eye of The Storm by Max Lucado Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire by Jim Cymbala Unstoppable Force by Erwin McManus Waking the Dead by John Eldredge
  • Hobbies: Reading, football, cooking, photography, old cars, hunting and Fishing
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Jesus loves you!!!!
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: Well this didnt exactly happen in a sermon, but my first wedding ceremony. I had used a wedding service book that had been given to me by a friend. My friend had written his parents names into the bride and groom blanks. During the service I begin calling the groom by the name written in the book, instead of his real name. I didnt catch my mistake until after the 2nd time I did it.
  • What I want on my tombstone: He loved the Lord his God, with all of his heart, soul, mind and strength.

God has called Moses to deliver His people. Now God equips Moses with everything he will need to fulfill the calling on his life.

To make the fourth chapter of Exodus more understandable, we need to backtrack and understand the backstory. In most great stories, there's a backstory, and once you're clear on that, everything else makes more sense. So, if you would turn with me to Exodus chapter 3, we're going to ...read more
