About Clifton
  • Education: BA from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri 12 hour in on a masters
  • Experience: Started and Pastored Berean Baptist Temple in Pendleton, Oregon for 5 years, Pastored Union Baptist Temple for 5 years, and have been the Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Sebastian, Florida for 13 years.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: There is nothing new under the sun on a new angle to look at it. What you use make it yours.
  • One of my favorite illustrations: The walls of the city where every man is a brick.
  • Family: Married to Joyce for 46 years. Have 4 grown children, 6 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She sometimes claims I chase too many rabits. If she says the choir was good and they did not sing I know I’m in trouble.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Be your self and be transparent.
  • Hobbies: Computers, Fishing, Radio Controlled Model Airplanes
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: God needs you to stand up for the faith once delivered to the saints.
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: My first Wednesday Evening Service at Calvary I came to a small lectern in the middle isle about 10 feet from the people with my fly open!
  • What I want on my tombstone: He was a faithful servant.

At years end everyone looks back. When Chrsitians should and when they should not look back.

To Look Back Or Not To Look Back, That is the Question. Gen 19:17; And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed. 1 Chron 16:11-12; Seek ...read more
