About Daniel
  • Education: I graduated from Valley Forge Christian College in Phoenixville, PA with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Bible. I also have a degree from Newport News Apprentice School in Sheet Metal Work.
  • Experience: I've been the Senior Pastor at 3 Churches and the Youth Pastor at one. Each Church has been completely unique with different circumstances, opportunities, and challenges. God has been faithful in all of them.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Billy Graham said he found the best way to preach is to fill up on God and then empty himself on the people. I want to be led by the Spirit when I preach so I rarely write anything out. The most I can give you from one of my sermons is an outline. I never write them out.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: A sermon I preached called "God Hates Your Religion". It helped me to come to a greater revelation that God wants relationship with us, not for us to practice a religion. It changes how you look at everything.
  • Family: I’m married and have three children. Two boys and a girl. My sons are 30 and 27 and my daughter is 20. My family is my first ministry before God. He called me to be a husband and a father before he called me to be a preacher.
  • What my parents think of my sermons: My Dad and Mom both like my preaching but both of them think I preach way too long.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She has told me on a number of occasions that she thanks God for allowing me to be her pastor because she loves the way I preach. As far as I can tell she’s sincere!
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: "When you go before the people you better have something good to say to them." - Everett Stenhouse
"If you can do anything else besides preaching do it, but if not then it is a wonderful life." - Rev. Stone Pastor of Tappahannock Church Of God years ago.
"Preach the Word, Brother!" - Dr. Mark Rutland
  • Books that have had an impact: The Bible; Another Wave Rolls In by Frank Bartleman; Character Matters by Mark Rutland; Billy Graham: An Autobiography by Billy Graham; 21 Indespensible Qualities Of A Leader by John Maxwell; God Chasers and God’s Favorite House by Tommy Tenney; The Five Love Languages by Dr. Gary Chapman; On This Day by Robert Morgan; The Prayer of Jabez by Bruce Wilkerson.
  • Hobbies: Computers, Photography, N.T. Greek, and a Blog.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: It’s all about relationship with Jesus Christ. He doesn’t care about your religious practices or your abilities or your religious accomplishments. When you die He will only care about whether or not He knows you and you know Him.
  • What I want on my tombstone: Pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, mushrooms, bbq chicken, extra cheese, and extra garlic! I plan on going in the rapture.

In an age where everything is geared towards "no-lines, no-waiting" and attacks from the enemy of our souls on every side. How do we gain our strength?

    I. The Greatness of God (vv. 25-26) God reminds us of His incomparableness. There is none like Him in all the universe. In Chapters 41-44 God speaks to the idiotic practice of idolatry. How that people make images out of gold or wood and attribute deity to them. They worship things that do not ...read more
