About David
  • Education: I am currently going through the Regional Ordination Program that is offered through my denomination.
  • Experience: This is the only church that I have been a pastor. I have been in the business industry over 20 years. I am currently a bi-vocational pastor with the hope someday to just do my church duties.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: I let the Holy Spirit led me in writing these sermons. I write them from the heart.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: I really like to listen to Charles Stanley’s sermons.
  • One of my favorite illustrations: I don’t really have a favorite, it just really depends on what the sermon is about and what it means to you.
  • Family: I am married to LaShanda and have 3 kids, Brittany, which is 12 and Jonathan, which is 10. I have been married over 16 years.
  • What my parents think of my sermons: My mom and dad starting coming to church when I started preaching which I am very happy about. They say that I am getting better.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She says they are good and I am getting better. Ha Ha
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Let the Holy Spirit lead you with your message. Be sincere, but always have the people you are preaching to involved. That will help them learn and keep their attention.
  • Books that have had an impact: The Bible of course. I have found the "Introducing The Old Testament" and "Introducing the New Testament" by John Drane very helpful in my studies.
  • Hobbies: I like woodworking, fishing, camping, which I don’t have alot of time to do. What I do like to most is spending time with my family.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Now, more than ever, is the time to let Jesus come into your life.
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: I haven’t had anything funny happen yet, but I am sure it will.
  • What I want on my tombstone: He’s Home

    Why unity is important?

Sticking Together (Unity) 9-30-01 Sunday Morning Illustration There was a Christian man who knew his time was near. So he sent word to his family to come home so he could see them all one last time. Even though his children (7) had already had families of there own, they all set out on ...read more
