  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: I’m just a young guy still learning the ropes. I hope that whatever I write helps whoever happens to read it.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: Two part series at the beginning of Advent in 1991 or 92 preached by Rev. Dave Bailey, founder of Ranch Hope for boys and a friend of my pastor at the time. Rev. Bailey inspired me to be the best speaker and preacher that I could learn to be.
  • Family: Wife Bonnie and daughter Trista
  • What my parents think of my sermons: I’m my mom’s favorite preacher. She likes Robert Shuler second. Dad’s never heard me preach, he’s agnostic.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: Not sure. She says she likes them but she’s never too enthusiastic about it.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: K.I.S.S. If I have to explain that, well, it kind of defeats the point, doesn’t it?
