  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: My goal is to give people something they can take home with them. To preach thought provoking sermons with a few gold nuggets along the way. I want to inspire people to become all they can be in Christ and to fulfill their God given potential.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: The Lord's Prayer, The Book of Daniel, The Book of Revelation, The Gospel of Luke
  • Family: I am married to Peggy, my wife of 32 years. We have two daughters, Dana NaChae Smith, age 28, and Kayli Marie who is 10. We had one son, Joshua David who was stillborn and our middle daughter, Cassie Leann, passed away May 16th, 2004 at the age of 15.
  • What my parents think of my sermons: My mother was always very supportive
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She is my biggest fan.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Don't preach everything you know in one sermon.
  • Books that have had an impact: The Caring Church, The Caring Pastor, Not a Fan, The Radical Christian, The Holy Spirit Code, Heaven is for Real, Can God Move Here, the Bible.
  • Hobbies: Fishing, reading, bowling and camping.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Serve God today like as if this were your last day on earth.
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: Tripped in some microphone cables and pulled over the boom stands.
  • What I want on my tombstone: Carpenter's Helper
