Freedom is something we take for granted. But talk with a man who was behind prison walls for most of his life. He will say that every breath, or sight of a blue sky, brings joy and excitement.

St. Paul writes to Timothy giving us a picture of how it will look just before the second coming of the Lord. He shares that people will be “unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good” (2 Timothy 3:3).

The Nicene Creed declares of the Son of God, "For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven; he became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary, and was made human. He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate; he suffered and was buried.
