About James
  • Education: D.Th; D.D (h.c); D.Min (h.c); B.S (Ind. Eng.)
  • Experience: Evangelization,Bible Teaching, Church Planting, Congregational Ministry, Church Administration, Industrial Engineering, Public Speaking, Writing etc.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: The over-all impression I get from people who look at my sermons, is that they are motivated by it....some use it as a guide line and others use the actual sermon to preach in their churches. Nevertheless, some were sometimes SO upset by my sermons, that it caused animosity.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: In April 2011 I delivered a sermon("Touching Jesus is ALL that matters") in the Northern Cape,South Africa. People suffering from cancer and diabetes were healed, a woman who was riding in a wheel chair walked again and a divided congregation were reconciled with each other.
  • What my parents think of my sermons: My late mother became a born-again Christian under one of my sermons. She loved listening to my tapes and DVDs.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She is one of my MOST fiercest critics. On some occasions she is of the opinion that my sermons are too afflicting and that it would offend the listeners....especially those who make the largest contributions to the church.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: You can't satisfy ALL of the people ALL of the time. The less people criticize your sermon, the smaller impact it had.
  • Hobbies: Gardening, Writing, Chess, Playing Keyboard
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: A Muslim believer who attended the church service on the day, was SO moved by the spirit of God, that he ran from his bench onto the stage, and knelt next to me in the pulpit, to surrender his life to Christ.

  • What Is Prayer?

    Contributed on Feb 2, 2016

Prayer is a conversation with God in His physical absence. We should ALWAYS TRUST God with our lives. The outcome of our prayer should NOT be based on our expectations and needs but on GOD'S will, immaterial of whether it is what we want.

James 5:17-18 (ESV) "Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit." To answer the question “What IS ...read more

  • What Happens To A Person’s Soul After Death?

    Contributed on Nov 6, 2015

Unlike animals OUR lives does NOT end in the grave, because OUR souls were brought to life when God breathed HIS spirit into our nostrils on the sixth day of creation. We are either destined for heaven OR hell. THIS depends on God's grace and OUR faith.

” Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.” Some religions believe that a person’s soul goes ...read more

  • The Law Of Moses Versus Christianity.

Are Christians bound by the Law of Moses? As a result of misinterpretations of God's word, unsubstantiated allegations AND misperceptions that arise from misguided Biblical teachings, the church is MORE divided today than EVER.

“For it seemed good to the HOLY SPIRIT, AND to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things: that you ABSTAIN from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. Farewell.” ...read more

  • Should We Celebrate Christ’s Birth?

    Contributed on Oct 3, 2015

For some reason Christ's date of birth is NOT recorded in the Bible. THIS however does NOT mean that He was NOT born. In fact, the place of His birth, and that He WOULD be born, has been prophecied BEFORE His birth by BOTH Isaiah AND Micha.

It is NOT specifically recorded in the Bible on WHAT date Christ WAS born. In ALL probability we might be within our right to contest the DATE on which Christians celebrate Christmas. HOWEVER, this does NOT mean that our Saviour was NOT born. On the contrary the Bible gives us CLEAR indication that ...read more

  • Man’s Reality Is Restricted To A Dot In The Universe

    Contributed on Sep 15, 2015

From the beginning of time man wanted to know where he came from and WHO he was. He refused to accept God's way because HIS reality differred from his creator's. Through the ages he was like a blind man, who was struggling to find the light switch.

Over millennium man has asked the question: “WHO am I. WHERE did I come from?” Man’s perception of reality as HE knows it, is restricted to a dotted space in the VAST universe. It starts with a beginning (The present) and has an end (The future). He is conceived as a biological ...read more
