  • What Is Prayer?

Contributed by James Linders on Feb 2, 2016
     | 2,471 views

Prayer is a conversation with God in His physical absence. We should ALWAYS TRUST God with our lives. The outcome of our prayer should NOT be based on our expectations and needs but on GOD'S will, immaterial of whether it is what we want.

James 5:17-18 (ESV) "Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit." To answer the question “What IS ...read more

  • What Happens To A Person’s Soul After Death?

Contributed by James Linders on Nov 6, 2015
     | 3,181 views

Unlike animals OUR lives does NOT end in the grave, because OUR souls were brought to life when God breathed HIS spirit into our nostrils on the sixth day of creation. We are either destined for heaven OR hell. THIS depends on God's grace and OUR faith.

  • The Law Of Moses Versus Christianity.

Contributed by James Linders on Oct 9, 2015
    based on 1 rating

Are Christians bound by the Law of Moses? As a result of misinterpretations of God's word, unsubstantiated allegations AND misperceptions that arise from misguided Biblical teachings, the church is MORE divided today than EVER.

“For it seemed good to the HOLY SPIRIT, AND to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things: that you ABSTAIN from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. Farewell.” ...read more

  • Should We Celebrate Christ’s Birth?

Contributed by James Linders on Oct 3, 2015
     | 1,799 views

For some reason Christ's date of birth is NOT recorded in the Bible. THIS however does NOT mean that He was NOT born. In fact, the place of His birth, and that He WOULD be born, has been prophecied BEFORE His birth by BOTH Isaiah AND Micha.

It is NOT specifically recorded in the Bible on WHAT date Christ WAS born. In ALL probability we might be within our right to contest the DATE on which Christians celebrate Christmas. HOWEVER, this does NOT mean that our Saviour was NOT born. On the contrary the Bible gives us CLEAR indication that ...read more

  • Man’s Reality Is Restricted To A Dot In The Universe

Contributed by James Linders on Sep 15, 2015
     | 2,342 views

From the beginning of time man wanted to know where he came from and WHO he was. He refused to accept God's way because HIS reality differred from his creator's. Through the ages he was like a blind man, who was struggling to find the light switch.

Over millennium man has asked the question: “WHO am I. WHERE did I come from?” Man’s perception of reality as HE knows it, is restricted to a dotted space in the VAST universe. It starts with a beginning (The present) and has an end (The future). He is conceived as a biological ...read more

  • We Are Saved By Grace, But The Choice Is Ours.

Contributed by James Linders on Sep 9, 2015
     | 2,862 views

Each of us is born with a preordained purpose and destiny. NOTHING on this planet happens by chance. Zacchaeus' life is a CLEAR example of this. HE drifted from God's plan of salvation, but was brought back by God to fulfill his destiny...his purpose.

….so when Jesus got there, He looked up and said: “Zacchaeus hurry down! I want to stay with ...read more

  • Lucifer’s Lust For Power Polluted Heaven And Earth

Contributed by James Linders on Jul 21, 2015
     | 2,430 views

The FIRST heavens and earth were created WITHOUT sin and death. When Lucifer, God's Head of ALL angels became power hungry and revolted AGAINST his Creator, man AND a THIRD of God's angels became sinful. God was FORCED to take precautionary measures.

Revelation 20:10 “And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.” Revelations 20:12 “I saw the dead, great and small, standing before ...read more

  • A Fountain Can Not Produce Bitter And Sweet Water.

Contributed by James Linders on Jul 7, 2015
     | 2,896 views

We as children of God and disciples of Jesus Christ, have a certain behavioural code by which we live. To DENY our Lord would be a GROSS violation of THIS code. UNLIKE Peter and Judas, we have the Holy Spirit to guide and teach us in ALL truth.

  • The Penalty Of Sin Is Death

Contributed by James Linders on Jun 28, 2015
     | 1,620 views

The world was created blameless, and SO was heaven. Through man's disobedience to God sin and death entered the world, and Satan led a third of the angels in heaven to rebel against God. The ONLY solution to THIS tragedy was CHRIST dying on the cross.

Genesis 2:16-17. The LORD God said to man: “You are FREE to eat from ANY tree in the garden, but you must NOT eat from the tree of knowledge, of good and evil, for when you EAT from it, you will CERTAINLY die. You will die BEFORE the day is over.” While Adam and Eve were walking ...read more

  • God's Perspective On Cremation Of Human Bodies

Contributed by James Linders on Jun 19, 2015
    based on 1 rating

With THIS sermon I DON'T argue the fact that ALL human remains will eventually turn into dust. I however question modern opinion on the issue in relation to Biblical view. What is GOD'S view on cremation? Did HE approve of it? Is it right or wrong?

Amos 2:1-2:3 This is what the LORD says: “For three sins of Moab, even for four, I will not relent. Because he burned to ashes the bones of Edom’s king, I will destroy her ruler and kill all her officials with him.” In ancient times there were three ways of disposing of ...read more

  • The Modified Copy Of Adam

Contributed by James Linders on Jun 15, 2015
     | 1,489 views

It was GOD'S will that man had to multiply and fill the earth. Although Adam's genes were predominantly male genes, God HAD to suppress it so that He could make Eve....the modified version of man....SHE would be equipped to increase the human population.

Genesis 1:27 "....He created them MALE and FEMALE.” Genesis 2:17 Then the LORD God said: "It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper SUITABLE for him." God created the heavens and ALL other life forms on earth. At THIS stage He decided that His creation was NOT ...read more

Contributed by James Linders on Jun 9, 2015
     | 2,845 views

Man's purpose is to serve God. After the fall of man, he became estranged from God, and Satan penetrated man's thoughts and mind....weaken his resistance to sin.The Creator of heaven and earth is a VERY jealous God, who does NOT tolerate idolatry.

  • The Church Is One Foundation And Jesus Christ Her Lord.

Contributed by James Linders on Jun 3, 2015
     | 1,574 views

The church of God is a unified body and has a primary objective. The body of Christ (Church) can NOT be subjected to man-made traditions and denominations, and MUST be led by the spirit of God. Man is ONLY an overseer and NOT the head of the church.

Acts 2:42 “They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” BEFORE Jesus departed from His disciples, to return to His heavenly kingdom, He gave them a FINAL instruction:"Go and make disciples of ALL the nations, ...read more

What IS faith and HOW should it be practised? CAN we please God WITHOUT faith? What is the IMPACT of faith on a believer's life? Examples of the EFFECT of faith on people's lives who TRUSTED God, and the CONSEQUENCES of a LACK of faith on people's lives.

Hebrews 11:1 "Faith makes us sure of what we hope for,and gives us proof of what we can not see." Hebrews 11:6 “Without faith it is impossible to ...read more

  • Prisoner Of Darkness

Contributed by James Linders on May 17, 2015
     | 2,707 views

Bartimaeus has been born blind. In THOSE earlier times if you were BORN blind, you'll die blind, without the prospect of being cured. The ONLY thing THIS man could do well, was being a beggar. THEN, Jesus walked into his life and changed it forever.

Mark 10:51-52 (NIV) 51 “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.” 52 “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road. Here ...read more
