About Jimmy
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: The series on the life of Jacob and Joseph by David Jeremiah. Through out my life I have been alot like Jacob and I never realized it until this series. I first heard it on the radio then I order the tapes and have used the lessons that I have learned and been able to help others see things in themselves they may not have seen before.
  • Family: Wife-Tina Children: Jennifer Deewayne and his wife Amanda Jordan and his wife Andria My four grandchildren...Dillon,Rebekah,Logan,Tyler
  • What my parents think of my sermons: Sadly he only got to hear a few sermons before he past away, but I believe my father was proud of me.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: I asked her after I had preached a Sunday night sermon, and I thought I had done really good (You know how it is when you don't have many people attend at night), I said, "How many really great preachers you think there are?" She said, "One less than you think!" I love to hear her say, "You were fired up today!" Because she has heard them all, some of them more than once and it is wonderful to know that God still use me to speak to her heart!
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Take a nap after studing your sermon
  • Hobbies: Playing drums
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: I need Him more than He ever needed me! Preaching fulfilled a part of life I never even knew was empty! He has given me more than I have ever given Him! I have been the most happiest in the ministry and I have been the most miserable when I have been out of the ministry!
  • What I want on my tombstone: You do your part and God will do His!
