• Education: Joel Curry received his Master of Divinity degree from Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana, in 1992. Prior to attending seminary, Mr. Curry was a corporate manager for more than 20 years.
• Experience: Joel Curry has served as a member of Oak Park Evangelical Free Church since 1995, became a teaching elder in 1997, and assumed the pastoral duties for the church in August 2000. He is author or co-author of four books, including two ministry fund-raising guidebooks, "Public Relations for the Local Church" published by the Church Growth Institute, and "Values in a Christian Liberal Arts Education" published by BMH Books. In addition, he has written study guides for the Liberty Bible Institute.
• Comment to those looking at my sermons: I strongly believe God reveals Himself and His will in a purposeful, organized way. My preaching and teaching, except for special needs and special occasions, is mostly multi-sermon expository series proceeding through entire books of the Bible.
• Family: Joel Curry lives in Warsaw, Indiana, and serves as pastor of Oak Park Evangelical Free Church. The church is a small cell-group church with no paid staff. By vocation, Mr. Curry is a real estate broker, and his wife, Dr. Shara Curry, is Professor and Chair of the Education Department at Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana. The Currys have been married for 31 years and have two adult daughters.
