Jesus the Trailblazer and Author of our salvation enters the sanctuary and sings.
1.3.21 Hebrews 2:10-12 10 Certainly it was fitting for God (the one for whom and through whom everything exists), in leading many sons to glory, to bring the author of their salvation to his goal through sufferings. 11 For he who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified all have one ...read more

Things will probably get worse before they get better in 2021. Do not give up hope. Embrace the struggle.
12.31.20 Embrace the Struggle of 2021 If you look through the Scriptures you see the drama of story after story after story. Nobody lives easy lives. The Israelites are put into slavery. When they escape, they have to live in the desert for 40 years. When they get into the Promised Land, ...read more

John shows us the Word made flesh to live and die for us.
12.25.2020 John 1:1-5, 9-14 When the first Star Wars movie came out, it was rather unique in that it started with a scrolling dialogue describing what had happened prior to the movie, so you’d at least have some clue as to what was going on and be able to follow along better. We look at gift giving - the difficulties of it - and how the gift of Jesus gives us all.

Finally, after battle upon battle to get to him, Eragon was able to confront Galbatorix deep within his lair. ...read more

Jesus draws a very vivid picture in this text of heaven and hell. Both are eternal. You can’t deny it. For those who would like to think that heaven is eternal, but hell is not - it can’t be done without tearing out the very words of God. In Matthew 25:46 Jesus lays eternal heaven and hell ...read more

What does God promise us? He will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. It goes back to the same theme throughout. The LORD is watching, no matter whether you’re coming or going - He’s watching. I’d compare it to walking through a mall ...read more

Whenever a farmer in western Kansas buys a new truck or combine or something, they are hesitant to bring it out or tell anyone about it. I’m not quite sure why that is - but I think a part of it is they don’t want the other farmers to get jealous over what they’ve got and they don’t want to come ...read more

Numbers 24:17 had predicted that “A star will come out of Jacob; a scepter will rise out of Israel.” That star was a young boy by the name of Jesus - who would save His people from their sins. Every evening when you wake up you can look at the stars and depend on the fact that it will be in the ...read more
