• Education: 1983 graduate of Baptist College of Florida (Baptist Bible Institute, BBI, in 1983). I received my Master’s Degree in Counseling and Human Development from Troy State University in 1987.
• Experience: 52 years in preaching/bi-vocational ministry. I have pastored churches in Florida and Alabama.
• Comment to those looking at my sermons: Use the outlines and any ideas you can. There’s nothing wrong with getting a sermon idea or seed from other’s, just make sure that what you preach to your flock is your message.
• Family: I am married with four adult daughters, 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
• What my parents think of my sermons: They have never heard me preach. They loathed that I was a Christian and a preacher.
• What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: My wife is my greatest supporter. If my sermons are dry, she tells me. If my sermons are dynamic she lets me know.
• Best advice given to me about preaching: Study as if everything depends on me; preach as if everything depends on God.
• Books that have had an impact: "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis
• Hobbies: Reading and playing fingerstyle guitar.
• If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: The Bible is accurate and true; God is real; All are sinners; Christ died for our sins; you must receive Christ as your Savior to get forgiveness for your sins; pray and ask Christ to save you.
• What I want on my tombstone: My soul was prepared for death; accept Christ and yours will be too.
