About Kelly
  • Education: Kelly’s credentials include: An Honorary Doctorate Degree of Divinity from Concordia Thelogica Institute and Biblical studies, A Bachelors Degree of Practical Ministry from the Evangelical Protestant Church Seminary, and various courses throughout the Military.
  • Experience: Kelly Benton began his ministry with the United States Army as a Chaplain Assistant. Kelly spent time over a 12 year period in the Army at various locations such as Hawaii, Guam, Thailand, Japan, Texas, and Iraq. After his time in Iraq Kelly felt God calling him to leave the Army to serve in the “civilian world”. Kapa'a Missionary Church is Pastor Kelly's fourth church he has served with as senior pastor since the military. Kelly also serves as the Director of Wrestlers for Christ.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Feel Free to use my sermons, just let me know how they went for you and also how could I make them better.
  • Family: Kelly is married to Stacy and they have a grand total of 8 adult children: Jade, Brittany, Shelby, Shayla, Logan, Kagen, Hazen and Austin. Kelly and Stacy are also proud Grandparents to 7 grandchildren.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: As pastors we should preach with power and zeal. We need to sell Jesus to others and we need to be excited about Him. We should never present the gospel as lazy servants. After all, would you buy a car from someone that doesn’t excite you?
