• Sermon or series that made a difference: Where did the Seed Fall
• One of my favorite illustrations: My favorite illustration was about a man that was always thanking God in all situations. The story states that the people in the neighborhood were waiting to see this man be unthankful. One day he was grilling out. He placed some thick steaks on the grill and the meat began to smell real savory. However, from no where came a dog andit knocked the grill over and took the steaks. The onlookers well anticipating what theman would say now. The man said, " run dog and thank God that He did not take my appetite.
• Family: I am married to Verma Thompson Rigby and we have five wonderful children and two grandchildren.
• What my parents think of my sermons: They did not live to hear me preach.
• What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She does a critical review of my messages for I see her expressions during my delivery. However she is a little partial for she thinks do a great job even when I feel discontent.
• Best advice given to me about preaching: Let God be the mouthpiece and not you just running your mouth. Also, always ask God to give a message that will be meaningful for the people and not just prepare oratoricals that seem to sound good as speeches but have no penetrating effect because the true message is from God.

• Hobbies: Fishing, Music, Grass Cutting
• If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: The same thing I said on my last sermon for I preach all sermons as if it were my last time.
• Something funny that happened while preaching: I had a well prepared message however, I wrote down the wrong textual scripture. As I began to read I said oops that is not from this message. This was when I first started preaching and had not remembered the scripture so it was a rough go.
• What I want on my tombstone: Temporary resting place; Visit me later at my mansion
