About Larry
  • Education: I have a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies with a major in General Ministry and Leadership from Cincinnati Christian University. I am currently working on obtaining a Masters of Divinity from Bethel University right here in Minneapolis, MN.
  • Experience: This is my first Senior Ministry position, I have been a part of this ministry now for close to 10 months and I love every second of it.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Feel free to use whatever you would like, I hope that you are as blessed by reading these as I was preaching them.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: One of my greatest sermons thus far was the one entitled: Imagine. This was a seven week series that focused on one simple precept: Imagine a community where no one is a sick, a prisoner, broken, hungry, naked, or a stranger. It really took our church to a new level of community involvement that we have not seen in a long time.
  • One of my favorite illustrations: I don’t have a particular favorite
  • Family: I have a beautiful wife named Heather, to whom I’ve been married for close to 4 years. I have two wonderful and energetic kids, one boy (2yrs) and one girl (1yr). My family is the most important ministry I have and I thank God for them everyday.
  • What my parents think of my sermons: They are proud.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She says that it is a blessing to her and helps her grow spiritually
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Always make family a priroity
  • Books that have had an impact: Simple Church; Case for series; Biblical Eldership by Strauch
  • Hobbies: I love running, reading, playing Wii, and hanging out with my family and friends. .
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Love God and do whatever it takes for everyone else to do the same.
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: I was quoting Jesus during a sermon when He said, "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than a rich man to enter heaven" Instead of saying that I said this, "It is easier to go through an eye of a camel..."
  • What I want on my tombstone: Well done...

Nothing divides them either in flesh or in spirit. . . . ...read more

"Today it's rare to see siblings serving alongside each other, either in church or in a ministry outside of church. Parents often focus on allowing each child to explore his or her individual gifts and talents through service -- which is a good thing. Then as brothers and sisters grow up, their ...read more
