The Results Of Temptation
Contributed on Feb 11, 2008
It’s easy for us to point the finger at Adam and Eve as the origin of the problem of sin, but all us fall short of God’s glory. But thanks be to God, our Lord does not abandon us in our disobedience!
Put yourself in Adam & Eve’s shoes for a moment… God places you in the produce section of the grocery store, and says, “Today there are 436 varieties of produce available, but I don’t want you to eat the persimmons.” How hard could it be? There’s 435 other delicious and varied items to ...read more

Reflecting God's Light
Contributed on Feb 11, 2008
What do you see in the mirror? Little faults and failures, or a beloved child of God? Just like a Mirror, we are to reflect God’s love in our lives.
“Magic mirror, on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?” These words are familiar to children of all ages. These are the words spoken by the queen in Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, as she gazes into her enchanted mirror. “Magic mirror, on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?” The ...read more

John the Baptist brings the word of the Lord: There’s Road Construction ahead! This is a sermon for Advent 2, Year B.
“Over the river and through the woods, to grandmother’s house we go!” Although this isn’t a Christmas song, it certainly highlights two elements that play such a big part of many people’s holiday celebrations: traveling, and family. Delivered To Deliver Others
Contributed on Dec 27, 2003
Do we get caught up in the festivities of the Christmas season, or do we hear God’s call to discipleship? This Sermon is for the observation of the Holy Innocents, December 28.
Delivered to Deliver Others! Well, here we are, on the other side of Christmas. The gifts are opened, the parties are over, and the meals and cookies are consumed. Perhaps even some of the gifts have been returned. I haven’t yet seen my first Christmas tree on the curb, but I’m sure it can’t be ...read more

Contributed on Nov 26, 2003
Several churches in North Dakota were being served by a clever old preacher. The people were always amazed, for no matter what the circumstances, the preacher could always find something to give thanks for. As he made his rounds one cold December morning, he was late in getting to worship because ...read more
