About Michael
  • Education: Master of Ministry: Crown College. Knoxville, Tn
  • Experience: 4 Years as Pastor // 8 Years Assistant Pastor
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Pray for me!
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: 12 Marks of a Faithful Pastor by John MacArthur // Our Lost Vision of God by Clarence Sexton // Church on a Mission (The Book of Acts) by James MacDonald
  • Family: Wife: Jessica // Daughter: Emma Nicole // Son: Keaton Morgan // Dog: Oscar (Daschund) //
  • What my parents think of my sermons: They don't hear them often, but they claim to enjoy them when they do.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She thinks I’m the best preacher on the planet... I think she is biased.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Preach the Word! Preach everything in it and nothing that isn't. // Place more confidence in your prayer than in your preaching. // You will most likely accomplish more with a body of work rather than one sermon. // To replace the teaching of God's Word with your own ideas and philosophies is to usurp the intelligence of God. // Rather than try to guess what your people need each week, preach from the Book written by the one who created your people.
  • Books that have had an impact: This list is always subject to change but: Anything by G. Campbell Morgan // Deeper Experiences of Famous Christians by James G. Lawson // Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire by Jim Cymbala // True Evangelism by Lewis Sperry Chafer //
  • Hobbies: Family Time, Traveling, Basketball, and Reading Books on my iPad 2.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Jesus Christ is more important than anything in this world. Give him your heart, life, loyalty and your every idle thought. He deserves it. Should you choose not to do so, it would be your loss not His.

Roger Rose said that when he was a boy, his family lived on a farm alongside a dirt road. Only on rare occasions would an automobile pass by. But one day as Roger’s young brother was crossing the road on his bicycle, a car came roaring down a nearby hill, struck the boy, and killed him. Roger said, ...read more
