About Michael
  • Education: I have a bachelor’s degree, and an almost completed MDIV. My real education though has been the last 7 years in ministry.
  • Experience: Three years of pioneer church planting followed by four years and counting as the second pastor of a new church.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: Desiring God conferences.
  • Family: I have 5 kids and beautiful wife.
  • What my parents think of my sermons: They listen every week, because they are in my church, and for the most part they are encouraging. My Dad a retired pastor often has some good ideas for me.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She thinks I am a pretty good preacher, especially when I get passionate for the Lord.
  • Books that have had an impact: Abolition of Man, CS Lewis Desiring God, John Piper Weight of Glory, CS Lewis The Bible
  • Hobbies: Tae Kwon Do with my son. Fiction books, when I have the time. Watching football and NASCAR. Being tickle monster for my kids. Dates with my wife. Apologetics on the internet.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Look to Jesus.
  • What I want on my tombstone: To die is gain.
