• Comment to those looking at my sermons: Most of these sermons were preached in a congregational setting. Therefore, they lose something in the printed format. However, they were all well received and many of the members would quote portions of these sermons or informed me they were meaningful to them.
• One of my favorite illustrations: A young man was afraid of the dark and when his father turned off the lights in his room he would begin to cry. When his father came in the room to reassure him that God was in the room with him. That calmed the boy down and he tried to go to sleep. But the darkness and the silence again scared him, so he called out to his father. His father came into the room and asked him what is the problem. The boy said the room was dark and he became afaid. The father repeated to him that God was in the room. The young boy said, "Tonight I need a God with some skin on." This explains the incarnation, simply put Jesus is God with some skin on.

• What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: They are alright. Need some improvements.
• Best advice given to me about preaching: My grandfather once told me, that the preaching ministry is as big as you make it, so make it a big and meaningful one.
• Books that have had an impact: Martin Luther King, Jr. , "Why we can’t wait" I read it every year, and give out copies to who ever does not have a copy and desires one.
• Hobbies: Traveling, Horse back riding, playing Dominoes,
• If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Trust God, He knows what He is talking about.
• Something funny that happened while preaching: I had my sermon on a palm handheld computer. I had planned to down load it and print it out before the service. However, something happended to the program and Sunday morning at 11:00 I had absolutly nothing. No manuscript, no outline, no notes. I went into the pulpit with nothing but a prayer, Lord save me. The sermon I preached that day was "This is That."
• What I want on my tombstone: Between the birth date and the death date, He tried to please God.
