About Nick Scarpa

Education: Freedom Bible College & Seminary Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Ministry United Christian Faith Ministries Discipleship Course

Comment to those looking at my sermons: I pray about what God wants me to preach. Sometimes He gives me the title, sometimes the topic, but always the scripture! 2 Tim. 3:16-17

Sermon or series that made a difference: Men’s Retreat at Camp Northfield Given by: Dan Dark "Not All Things Are As They Appear"

One of my favorite illustrations: The Best is Yet to Come

Family: My family is the most important part of my life outside of my relationship with Christ. My wife Amy and I have been married for 21 years. We have two children. Our daughter Jade (13) is attending Community Christian Academy in 8th Grade. She is a co-captain of the Christian Cheerleading Squad and involved in the Firewalkers Youth Group. Our son David (4) is just getting into school this fall.

What my parents think of my sermons: I’ll find out when I get home!!

What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She always tells me the truth Sometimes they’re great Sometimes they’re not

Best advice given to me about preaching: Keep the Message simple End it with application

Books that have had an impact: Experiencing God Henry Blackaby Purpose Driven Life Rick Warren

Hobbies: - Building Web Sites - Playing guitar - Watching Sports

Something funny that happened while preaching: A light that had been broken (above the pulpit) came on in the middle of a sermon about Vision.

What I want on my tombstone: A man who walked with God
