About Paul
  • Education: BA(Hons) in Theology Spurgeons Diploma in Christian Religious Studies
  • Experience: 3 Years evangelist/mission 7 years church pastoral ministry 12 years army chaplain
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: I milk a lot of cows, but I always churn my own butter
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: All of them - as long as they are bible based and not watered down hogwash
  • One of my favorite illustrations: Augustine - “If you believe what you like in the Gospel, and reject what you don't like, it is not the Gospel you believe, but yourself.”
  • Family: Love them and loathe them
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: Always been my best critic
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: 'If at first you don't strike oil - stop boring'!
  • Books that have had an impact: The Bible (obviously), The Hidden Power of Prayer and Fasting, They shall expel demons, Leadership is Male, The cross and the switchblade, From witchcraft to Christ
  • Hobbies: Fishing, walking, running
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: There is hope and His name is Jesus
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: left half my notes on the other side of the church - didn't notice until half way through the sermon
  • What I want on my tombstone: 'Gone to another meeting'
