  • Experience: Pastor Moore acknowledged his call into the Gospel Ministry on Mother’s Day 1985. He was licensed to preach, after delivering his initial sermon on Father’s Day 1985, by the Bethany Baptist Church of Oakland, California pastored by the Rev. (Dr.) M.J. Williams. Pastor Moore joined the Ministers-In-Training Program conducted by the Allen Temple Baptist Church in Oakland, CA, under the pastorate of Dr. J. Alfred Smith, Sr., toward the end of 1985 and moved his membership to the church early in 1986. He was ordained in the fall of 1986 at the request of the Faith M.B.C. of Christ, East Palo Alto, Calif., pastored by the Rev. F.J. Purdy, Sr., after being examined by the Christian Fellowship District Association of the Progressive National Baptist Convention. Pastor Moore served as the Youth and Young Adult Pastor of Faith until he left to begin his theological studies at the School of Theology of Virginia Union University in 1987. While in the program at Virginia Union University Pastor Moore also completed classes at Union Theological Seminary in Richmond. He served an internship with Zion Baptist Church in Richmond, VA for one year and as a full-time supply pastor for three rural churches in Virginia for two years. In 1990 Pastor Moore began training in Clinical Pastoral Education at Peninsula General Hospital in Salisbury, Maryland. During the three months that he was there he also served as the Assistant to Pastor Lewis N. Watson of First Baptist Church. In the fall of 1990 Pastor Moore was called to serve as the Assistant Pastor of the Holy Unity Baptist Ministries in Corona and Jamaica, New York where his brother, The Rev. (Dr.) Richard G. Moore, Sr., serves as the Senior Pastor. On Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, January 21, 1991, the members of Union Missionary Baptist Church, Dover, DE, elected to extend a call to Pastor Moore to become their full-time senior pastor. He continues to serve this congregation faithfully as he ministers nationally and internationally.
  • Family: Pastor Moore’s father is the Rev. Reedie G. Moore, Sr., the 26 year pastor of Calvary Temple Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois and his brother, Rev. Richard G. Moore, Sr., has been serving his current pastorate in New York for 23 years. Pastor Moore has three adult children and one son-in-law, Ramona Gail and her husband Wayne H. Charles, Jr. of Baltimore, MD, Rev. Reedie G., III and Richard Gerald of San Jose’, CA. He also has two grandsons, Michael-Jamal and Wayne Herbert,III and seven local god-children for whom he possesses great affection and takes great pride in.
