• Comment to those looking at my sermons: Enjoy. I have a hard time sharing them. I, of course, do not think they are worthy of print but if you find anything useful, that makes it all worthwhile. Thank you for reading.
• Sermon or series that made a difference: There have been lots of messages that touched me. They are the ones built on the Word of God. Not feel good or positive thinking stuff that is so prevalent in our lives today
• One of my favorite illustrations: I survived an armed robbery and made a commitment to God that if, by His grace I should make it through, I would serve Him full time in ministry. It is an amazing story.
• Family: Married to my wife Cheryl for 11 years, blended family with 5 grown children
• What my parents think of my sermons: When they're not asleep I think they like them.
• What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: My wife Cheryl is very supportive and always says good things. I guess she knows that's important to me. And I believe she is always truthful most of the time.
• Best advice given to me about preaching: Have one thought that I want to share and then share it well. Prepare, prepare, prepare.
• Books that have had an impact: "They Call Me Pastor" by H.B London
• Hobbies: Family, reading, writing, music and walking on the beach with my wife
• If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. It's never too late, but it is the most important aspect of our lives.
• Something funny that happened while preaching: It was Sunday April 1st, April fools day. One of our church members stood at the backdoor and told each person or family arriving "If you normally sit in the front on the left side, sit in the back on the right side." If you normally sit in the back.....etc. Nothing looked familiar to me. I try to make eye contact with certain people when I preach. Not that day. I couldn't find them! It completely through me off during the entire service.
