• Education: I attended the Criswell College in Dallas, TX where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies. I graduated in the Spring of 2004 with honors.
• Experience: I surrendered to the ministry in 1998 and served as pastoral intern for a short time at Countyline Baptist, Athens TX, where I was licensed to the ministry. I was then called to Faith Community Baptist, Mabank TX, where I served as Music and Youth Minister for three years. I was then called to Cornerstone Baptist, Athens TX where I served as Pastor for two years while I finished college. Then I was called to Southwood Baptist, in Oklahoma City OK as Senior Pastor. The church is now known as Mosaic Church.
• Comment to those looking at my sermons: Every pastor has his own style. I only write outlines because that is what I use to preach. I hope that the outlines I submit might be useful to someone else looking for a little help or direction in a particular passage. Obviously I like some better than others but hey, you can’t knock one out of the park every time you step up to the plate. The results are God’s job, I just have to keep swinging.
• Family: I have been married since November of 1988 to a wonderful wife who was also my High School sweetheart. We have 4 beautiful and diverse children.
• What my parents think of my sermons: They have chosen to be members everywhere I have pastored and have often followed up with questions after a sermon. They say they really enjoy them. Of course they are likely biased.
• What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She is very supportive and honest. Generally she gives me very positive and affirming feedback. However she does not hesitate to tell me when I have lingered too long on a particular point.
• Best advice given to me about preaching: The mind can only absorb what the seat can endure.

• Hobbies: I enjoy golf, fishing and wood working.
