About ROGER
  • Education: BA degree in Bible from Central Baptist College, Conway, AR Master’s degree in Biblical Studies from Central Baptist College, Conway, AR
  • Experience: 37 years of ministry including youth pastor, minister of youth and visitation, churchplanting missionary, and senior pastor; editor of various church publications
  • Family: Married since 1974 to Debbie Pearce; 4 children; 4 grandchildren
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Stand up, speak up, shut up. Too many preachers spend too much time trying to answer questions that no one is asking. The mind can only absorb as much as the seat can endure.
  • Hobbies: softball, hunting, fishing, sports officiating
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart" (Prov. 3:5).
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: While performing a wedding rehearsal, I called the groom the name of the bride’s former fiancee.
  • What I want on my tombstone: a sinner saved by the grace of God
