About Roy
  • Experience: Preacher Roy was first called into the ministry at 14 years old. He has been a youth leader, an associate pastor, an assistant pastor, an evangelist, and pastor.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: My sermons are written with some emotion. We strive to make every service at our church a revival, hence our motto: Experience The Power!
  • Family: Preacher Roy, and his wife Charity, have been married for going on 18 years. They have two wonderful teenage daughters. Preacher Roy plays the piano, Sister Charity plays the bass guitar. Their two daughters, Beth and Adrian, play the drums and keyboard.
  • What my parents think of my sermons: When my Dad was still alive, he would always tell me that it was good . . . but that I could do better.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She says that it is sometimes hard living with a preacher because I am always stepping on her toes. I hope, and believe, that she is fed along with everyone else. My viewpoint is this, When I am preaching, I am nobody’s son, nobody’s dad, nobody’s husband, and nobody’s brother. I am just a vessel for God.
  • Books that have had an impact: "The Purpose Driven Church" by Pastor Bill of Saddleback Church.
  • Hobbies: Preacher Roy loves to paint pastel landscapes, play the piano, and is working at his "so called" golf game.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: The greatest thing we can do for ourselves, each other, and our Lord Jesus is to show true love to each other. If we can finally grasp the kind of love that Jesus showed to us when He forgave our sins simply because we asked Him to, we can begin to show that to those around us. Life is too short to get caught up in the emotions that we feel we have a "right" to have. We may have the right, but that doesn’t make it right. LOVE the Lord your God, and LOVE your neighbor as yourself.
  • What I want on my tombstone: My inheritance is sure.
