  • Education: I graduated from Carson Newman College with a Bachelor of Church Music, Southwestern Seminary with a Master of Church Music, and I currently have about 20 hours toward a Master of Divinity through the New Orleans Seminary extension program. I am certified in F.A.I.T.H., CWT, EE, MasterLife, MasterBuilder, PrayerLife, DecisionTime, & Experiencing God. Life’s ministry opportunities have taken me to Australia, Korea, Brazil and Germany as well as various home mission experiences.
  • Experience: I served over 23 years as Associate Pastor of Music & Worship at my first church following Seminary. I recently sensed God’s leadership in a change of ministry direction, and I am currently serving Great Oaks Baptist Church as Interim Pastor.
  • Family: I am happily & thankfully married to Deborah C. Hedrick, the love of my life and partner in ministry. We have 3 wonderful children, Matthew, who sings with Crossway Quartet, Timothy, who is serving in Law Enforcement and Lauren who is still in college studying Animal Behavior.
