About Timothy
  • Education: M.Div and MA in Religion from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Working on Doctorate
  • Experience: Pastored a church start several years ago for about three years. I have been studying, teaching, and ministering the Scripture since 1990; where I was stationed in Mons, Belgium.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: I try to include Christ and Him crucified in all my sermons along with an evangelistic format that includes God’s purpose; our sin; God’s provision for sin; and our response.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: Almost everything by Paul Washer and Allistair Begg. I am also fond of John MacArthur’s work.
  • One of my favorite illustrations: D. James Kennedy’s illustration about how you would feel if you had given your sons life for a criminal and you later heard the criminal say it was just because he was a good man.
  • Family: I am married with three children. Ages 26, 24, 20. Two Boys and a Girl.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She thinks I teach better than I preach.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Always preach about Christ and him crucified! I try to end my sermons evangelistically. What is more important?
  • Books that have had an impact: How Now Shall We Live by Chuck Colson; Evangelism Explosion by D. James Kennedy; Sin by Ted Peters; Jesus is Awesome by Danny Lovett; and of course the Bible by God.
  • Hobbies: River Fishing, NFL football, and of course, Bible Study.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: passionately; that men are sinful, that a holy and just God provided a way for men to be saved through His One and Only Son Jesus’ death on the cross, and that God has a purpose for our lives.
  • What I want on my tombstone: He Loved God
