  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Give God the Credit nor me
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: Many of Billy Grahams’ works and films series.
  • One of my favorite illustrations: When I was Deacon in the West Illinois Church in Dallas before surrendering to preach one of the elder ladies died and the Sunday after her sermon her envelop appeared in the plate with her last fifty dollars and five dimes which she had prepared as a tithe a few days prior to her death. I wonder how many people that will be true for when the die their last offering will appear in the place with their tithe??
  • Family: Married with 3 Children. One is a professor at Wayland University, One is a Computer programmer with his own business and the other is a pastor in Lubbock Texas. My Wife is retired banker and we have lived in Lubbock for some years.
  • What my parents think of my sermons: The Lived in OK City and only occasionally attended but said it was great each time.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She has become a skill teacher of Sunday School and has started many Bible study groups based on what I teach
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Always keep the Word of God (Bible) between you and the congregation. They can argue with you but not the word.
  • Books that have had an impact: Live of Billy Sunday Life of Billy Graham
  • Hobbies: Traveling Reading and writing. Have been to England, Brazil, Australia, France Swiss, Austria, Italy, Rome, Paris Japan, Hawaii and all states of the USA.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: God Never Fails
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: My Son crawl to the front of the Church between the legs of people during the invitation at the first call I faced in preaching. It caused quite a riot and commotions. I got called any way to my first church where I served on the staff of Frank Pollard for some 2-3 years rebuilding a mission they had taken over in Dimmitt Texas.
  • What I want on my tombstone: I Lived by the word, Died with the Word and am Buried with the word (Bible)
